The faith of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church is centered on Jesus Christ, grounded in the Bible, rooted in the ancient apostolic tradition of St. Thomas Christians, and shaped by Reformed Christian teachings emphasizing worship, prayer, service, and sharing Christ’s love with the world.

Thanksgiving Prayer Meeting
A Thanksgiving Prayer Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at 5:30 PM at the church in remembrance and celebration of the life of the late Mr. V. O. Baby, father of Mr. Shine Joseph.
All Prayer Group 4 members are requested to prayerfully attend this meeting.

Prayer Group 6 will have a prayer meeting on Sunday, September 27, at 5:30 PM at the residence of K. K. & Lizy George.

Organization Announcements
Sunday School
· There will be a Sunday School Teachers' Meeting after today's service. All teachers are requested to remain in the sanctuary following the service.
· Sunday School Anniversary – October 31
The Sunday School Anniversary is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Children interested in participating through a song, Bible story, drama, dance, or other presentation are encouraged to contact the conveners, Justin Abraham or Trisha Thomas.
The program will include student performances as well as awards and recognition from the previous Sunday School year.

Edavaka Mission
The Edavaka Mission Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, at 11:00 AM at the church.
All Edavaka Mission members are requested to attend.
Senior Citizens Sunday – September 20
As previously announced, we will be honoring our senior members who have completed 70 years of age since 2018. The felicitation will take place on Sunday, September 20, as part of our Senior Citizens Day Service.
This year, 35 seniors will be honored. Most have been contacted and have confirmed their participation, while a few will be unable to attend due to other commitments. The final list of honorees has been posted at the church for reference.
We warmly invite everyone to join us for this special occasion as we express our love, appreciation, and gratitude to our senior members for their presence, wisdom, service, and contributions to our parish community.

Flu Shot Clinic – September 27
The DMTC Medical Team will conduct our annual Flu Shot Clinic on Sunday, September 27, immediately following the worship service.
Those interested in receiving a flu shot are encouraged to register with the pharmacists from SB Pharmacy, who will be administering the vaccinations. Registration forms will also be available online for your convenience.
Protect yourself and your family this flu season by getting vaccinated.

40th Annual Midwest Regional Youth Conference
Registration is now open for the 40th Annual Midwest Regional Youth Conference, hosted by the Detroit Mar Thoma Church Youth Fellowship.
Dates: December 26–29, 2026
Location: Michindoh Conference Center
Theme: “Unmasked” – 1 Samuel 16:7
Early Registration Deadline: November 1
Regular Registration Deadline: November 30
All eligible youth ages 13 and above are encouraged to register and participate.

Onam Celebration
We were blessed with a wonderful Onam Sadhya and celebration this year, with more than 300 people participating and enjoying the food and fellowship.
We once again express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed—those who prepared food, donated financially, provided flowers, and helped with the many arrangements. Your dedication and generosity made this year's Sadhya and Onam celebration truly special.
A special word of appreciation goes to the Sevika Sangham and its Secretary, Mrs. Annie Varghese, for leading the effort with great commitment.
We also thank our Trustees for quickly addressing the seating challenges by arranging more than eight additional tables last Sunday.
We received helpful feedback from members regarding some of the logistics and will work to improve these areas for next year's celebration.
Thank you once again to our entire DMTC family for your support, teamwork, generosity, and joyful participation.
