Yuvajana Sakhyam
- Convention: Yuvajana Sakhyam will be having a two-day convention on Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th (7 – 8:30 PM) at our church. The theme for the convention is ‘Encountering God.’ Mr. Tom Philip from Redeemer Mar Thoma Church, NJ will be the main speaker. All church members, friends, and family are welcome to join. Please reserve the dates and keep the convention in your prayers. Please contact YS secretary, Mr. Philip William, or convenor Mr. Stanley Samuel if you have any questions.
- The 22nd Diocesan Yuvajana Sakhyam Conference will be hosted by The Mar Thoma Church of Dallas Farmers Branch Yuvajana Sakhyam. The conference will take place from September 26th to 29th, 2024, at The Mar Thoma Church of Dallas Farmers Branch. More information about the conference, including registration details, can be found on the conference website: https://www.ysconf2024.orgEncouraging all Sakha members and senior yuvajana sakhyam friends to register for the conference at the earliest. Registration deadline is August 31, 2024. Request everyone to uphold the conference in your prayers for its success and spiritual enrichment.
Church Cleaning
- Church Spring Cleaning is scheduled this Friday, April 26th at 5:30 pm and Saturday, April 27th at 9:30 am, weather permitting. All members are requested to come and participate at least 1 of the 2 days to help beautify and clean the landscape and other areas on the church property. For those planning to attend please wear proper attire and bring outdoor working gloves and available outdoor tools and equipment.
Sunday School
- Our VBS 2024 will be held from June 17-23. Theme for the VBS is “The Great Jungle Journey”. Please mark your calendars and further details will be provided soon. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the sign-up list in the fellowship hall or contact the conveners Mrs. Sabina Cherian, Mrs. Usha Thomas, or Dr. Suma Thomas.
- Midwest Regional Junior Camp 2024 will be held from July 19th – 21st hosted by the Chicago Mar Thoma Church Sunday School and is open to students who have completed 3rd to 10th grade. Encourage all students to attend. Please reserve the date and keep the camp in your prayers.
Table Tennis – Spring Tournament
- A Table Tennis tournament is scheduled from May 19th – June 9th. All members are welcome to participate and required to register online. Please note as per our General Body decision, the tournament is open only to Detroit Mar Thoma Church members. Contacts: Gegi George or Sujeev Cherian. Refreshments
- Thanks to the refreshment committee for arranging today’s refreshments.
- As per our General Body decision the minimum expected contribution from each parish family is increased to \$100. All families are requested to contribute this amount and also encouraged to give more considering the increased cost of items. Thank you for your cooperation.

We will do our very best to live stream all church events, however as this is dependent on trained volunteers, there may be technical interruptions and occasions where live streaming is not available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

- Zeffy is a user-friendly platform for not-for-profit organizations that allows for one-time and reoccurring monthly contributions with a no transaction fee option. Contributions can be made with credit card, bank account, Apple or Google pay. We strongly encourage all members to utilize Zeffy for electronic payments. Our Trustees want to thank all the members who have utilized this method as this streamlines the financial activities of the parish.
