Sunday School
- Midwest Regional Sunday School will have a Teachers Retreat and Farewell Meeting for Rev. Thomas Mathew, president of the Midwest Region SS. on Saturday, April 20th at 10 am via Zoom. Rev. Abraham Kuruvilla will be the main speaker. All SS teachers are encouraged to attend
- Our VBS 2024 will be held from June 17-23. Theme for the VBS is “The Great Jungle Journey”. Please mark your calendars and further details will be provided soon. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the sign-up list in the fellowship hall or contact the conveners Mrs. Sabina Cherian, Mrs. Usha Thomas, or Dr. Suma Thomas.
- Midwest Regional Junior Camp 2024 will be held from July 19th – 21st hosted by the Chicago Mar Thoma Church Sunday School and is open to students who have completed 3rd to 10th grade. Encourage all students to attend. Please reserve the date and keep the camp in your prayers.
India Mission Trip
- A reminder The Mar Thoma Mission Board of the Diocese of NA is organizing the India Mission Trip to various mission fields in South India from June 24, 2024 to July 04, 2024. The mission trip will include visits to mission fields of the Mar Thoma Church in Ankola, Carver through Goa, Sirsi (near North Karnataka), and South Travancore (Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala).
This will be a good opportunity for youths to gain a better understanding of the mission work of the Church and to learn how to be involved in such mission initiatives. Registration deadline for the mission trip is tomorrow, April 15th.

Total number of participants are 15, on a first come basis.
Edavaka Mission & Sevika Sanghom
- Monthly meeting of the Edavaka Mission and Sevika Sanghom will be held on April 20th at 11 am at the church. This will be a combined meeting of the two sub-organization. All members are encouraged to join.
Youth Group
- Youth Group bible study on Saturday, April 20th at 1:30 pm at the church. Bible study topic will be Altar and Liturgy led by Santosh Achen and Bijo Cheriyan. All youths are encouraged to attend.
- There will be Youth Group activity on Saturday, April 27rd, more details to be provided soon
Church Cleaning
- Church Spring Cleaning is scheduled across 2 days. Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th. All members are requested to come and participate at least 1 of the 2 days to help beautify and clean the landscape and other areas on the church property. For those planning to attend please wear proper attire and bring outdoor working gloves and available outdoor tools and equipment.
Table Tennis – Spring Tournament
- A Table Tennis tournament is scheduled on Sundays May 19th – June 9th. All members are welcome to participate and required to register online. Please note as per our General Body decision, the tournament is open only to Detroit Mar Thoma Church members. Contacts: Gegi George or Sujeev Cherian. Refreshments
- Thanks to the refreshment committee for arranging today’s refreshments.
- As per our General Body decision the minimum expected contribution from each parish family is increased to \$100. All families are requested to contribute this amount and also encouraged to give more considering the increased cost of items. Thank you for your cooperation.

We will do our very best to live stream all church events, however as this is dependent on trained volunteers, there may be technical interruptions and occasions where live streaming is not available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
