Christmas Carol Rounding
- Our Christmas Carol Rounding will be continuing today. The following is the schedule:
- Sunday Dec. 10th – Prayer Group 3
- Starting at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Anil and Lekha George (1526 Pembroke Dr. Rochester Hills, MI 48307) after the service.
- Sunday Dec. 17th – Ann Arbor & Lansing area
- Starting at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Varughese Abraham (49595 Winslow Ct. Plymouth MI 48170) after the service and then going to Ann Arbor & Lansing area
- Sunday Dec. 10th – Prayer Group 3
Christmas Carol Service
- Our Christmas Carol Service will be held on December 23rd at 5 pm at our church. Fr. Justin Puthussery, Vicar of St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Church, will deliver the Christmas message. The service will include songs from our Malayalam and English Choirs and special presentation from our Sunday School and Carol Rounding group. All parish members are requested to prayerfully participate in this blessed service
Sunday School
- Christmas carol program practice schedule:
- Saturday December 16th – (time for this practice will be provided this week)
- Sunday December 17th – after the worship service
Encouraging all SS students to participate. For any questions with the program, please contact Mrs. Shalan George or Dr. Suma Thomas. Assistance is required from parents and church members please let the coordinators know if you are available to help.
Youth Group
- Youth Group General Body will be held today Sunday, December 10th, 2023 after the worship service. The agenda is as follows:
- Election of Office Bearers for the year 2024.
All youths are requested to attend.
Sevika Sanghom
- Diocesan Sevika Sanghom Christmas Celebration and farewell meeting for Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philexonos Diocesan Episcopa will be held on Thursday December 14th at 7.30 PM EST via Zoom. Thurmeni will be delivering the Christmas message. Additionally, Sevika Sanghom choir from each region will be presenting during the meeting. Also winners for Essay writing competition will be announced during the meeting. All Sevika Sangom members are requested to participate.

Winter Pickleball Tournament
- A Winter pickleball tournament is planned from Tuesday Jan. 2 to Saturday Jan. 6 in the fellowship hall. All church members are welcome to participate. Those interested need to register online and fill out the registration form. Registration deadline is Monday, December 25.

Yuvajana Sakhyam
- YS membership campaign for 2024 has started. Those members interested in taking a membership or maintaining their membership in YS are requested to contact YS committee members and submit the membership fee by December 15.
Kitchen & Storage Facilities Study – Options for Review
- As per General Body decision the executive committee is requesting all parish members to review options that were presented during the General Body and provide their feedback by January 14th, 2024. To streamline the review/feedback, a survey has been sent to parish members by e-mail with subject “Qualtrics Survey: Kitchen & Storage Facilities Study”.The survey is very simple and has a maximum of 3 questions/entries and should take no longer than 5-10 minutes. All parish members 18 years and above are welcome to participate in this survey. If parish members have not received the survey e-mail please inform the Secretary.
For those who require assistance in completing the survey a table is set-up in the fellowship hall and Executive Committee members will be available to support. We appreciate and value your input and thank you for your participation. So far we have about a 20% participation rate we hope to see this increase in the next few weeks.

St. John’s Mar Thoma Church Christmas Carol Service will be held on December 16, 2023, at 5:30 pm in St. Johns Mar Thoma Church ( 2601 E Square Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48085).We cordially invite Vicar Rev. Santhosh Varughese and all members of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church to participate in our carol service. Please keep the carol service in your prayers
Note from Trustees
- As we are approaching the end of the year, please make sure to submit all contributions for the year 2023 on or before December 31st, 2023. All contributions received after December 31st including checks with previous date will be accounted for in year 2024.Also any invoices and receipts from 2023 that are to be reimbursed by the church are also requested to be submitted by December 31st, 2023. This is to help our trustees with closing the 2023 accounts and preparing reports in a timely manner.

We will do our very best to live stream all church events, however as this is dependent on trained volunteers there may be technical interruptions and occasions where live streaming is not available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
