Condolences
- Detroit Mar Thoma Church expresses our deepest condolence at the sad demise of Mrs. Thankamma Ninan (70), mother of our member Mrs. Alice Cheriyan on Wednesday, October 25th, in Kerala, India. Prayer Fellowships
- Prayer Group 4 will have a prayer meeting today October 29th at 5:30pm at the residence of Dr. Bachu and Tina Abraham in Northville, MI (17290 Stonebrook Dr Northville MI 48168). Election of prayer group 4 representative for the year 2024 will be held during this meeting.
- Prayer Group 3 will have a prayer meeting on Sunday November 5th at 5:30pm in Rochester Hills, MI. Election of prayer group 3 representative for the year 2024 will be held during this meeting.
- Prayer Group 1 will have a prayer meeting on Friday November 10th at 6:30pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Tom & Malini Reji in Livonia, MI (36988 Kingsburn Dr. Livonia, MI 48152). Election of prayer group 1 representative for the year 2024 will be held during this meeting.
- Prayer Group 5 will have a prayer meeting on Sunday November 12th at 5:30pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. K.C. & Aleyamma Chacko in Sterling Heights, MI (2846 Burningbush Sterling Heights, MI. 48314). Election of prayer group 5 representative for the year 2024 will be held during this meeting.
Sunday School
- Christmas carol program practice schedule:
- Saturday November 4th 10 am – 12 pm
Encouraging all SS students to participate. For any questions with the program, please contact Mrs. Shalan George or Dr. Suma Thomas. Assistance is required from parents and church members please let the coordinators know if you are available to help.
- Midwest Region Sunday School will have a Midwest Regional celebration of World Sunday School Day on Saturday, November 4th at 4:00 PM EST via Zoom. All Sunday School teachers and students are welcome to join.

Choir
- Musical Workshop: Detroit Marthoma Church choir will be conducting a musical workshop on Saturday November 4th at 10:30 am at the church. Both English and Malayalam Choir members are kindly invited to attend the workshop. This will be a great time for fellowship and musical practice, please let the Choir leaders know if you are unable to attend the workshop.
- Choir General Body meeting to elect representatives for 2024 will be held on Sunday November 5th after the worship service. Both English and Malayalam Choir members are kindly requested to attend the meeting.
Sevika Sanghom
- Monthly Meeting of the Sevika Sanghom will be held on Sunday November 12th after the worship service. Elections for the year 2024 will be held during the meeting. All Sevika Sanghom members are requested to attend.
Yuvajana Sakhyam
- Yuvajana Sakhyam is supporting an Evangelist in the mission fields of India. Thus far funds were raised for a two-wheeler purchase and additional assistance is planned. Requesting contributions and the generous support from members.
Edavaka Sangham List / Members Contribution List
- The Edavaka Sangham list which includes all parish members 18 years or older is published in the notice board. Please note the list is put in order by house number. All members are requested to review and please inform the Vicar or Secretary of any corrections.
- Members contribution list through September 2023 is posted in the notice board. Please review and note the format of the contribution list is modified. Please contact the trustees for any questions or corrections
Parish Events
- Parish Events for 2023 have been scheduled. The following are the event highlights for the rest of 2023.
- Christmas Carol Rounding – Dec. 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th
- Christmas Carol Service – Sat. December 23rd
We request all parish members to mark these dates on your calendar and request everyone’s sincere participation.
Refreshments
- Thanks to our refreshment committee and executive committee for arranging today’s fellowship lunch. Everyone is welcome to join in the fellowship lunch after the concluding session of our parish convention.

We will do our very best to live stream all church events, however as this is dependent on trained volunteers there may be technical interruptions and occasions where live streaming is not available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
