    • 9:00 AM – Sunday School (Sunday School will be conducting praise and worship service at 9:00 am. The worship team has some wonderful things planned and one of the Sunday school students will be giving a small message. Parents are requested to bring their children to church at 9 am.)
    • 10:15 AM – Holy Communion Service in Malayalam (Family Dedication and Tithe Sunday)
    • After Service – Parish Convention (concluding session)
    • 5:30 PM – Prayer Group 4 meeting (at the residence of Dr. Bachu and Tina Abraham in Northville)

Prayer Fellowships

  • Prayer Group 4 will have a prayer meeting on Sunday October 29th at 5:30pm at the residence of Dr. Bachu and Tina Abraham in Northville, MI (17290 Stonebrook Dr., Northville, MI 48168). Election of prayer group 4 representative for the year 2024 will be held during this meeting.
  • Prayer Group 3 will have a prayer meeting on Sunday November 5th at 5:30pm in Rochester Hills, MI. Election of prayer group 3 representative for the year 2024 will be held during this meeting.

Parish Convention & Family Sunday

  • Our Parish Convention-2023 will be held from Friday October 27th to Sunday October 29th at our church. Theme for the convention is ”Renewal & Hope”. Rev. Oommen Philip, former Sabha Secretary of the Mar Thoma Church will be the guest speaker. Convention Date/Time are as follows:
      • Friday Oct. 27th @ 7:00 PM
      • Saturday, Oct. 28th @ 6:30 pm
      • Sunday, Oct. 29th, concluding session after the worship service.

    Please mark these dates on your calendar and requesting prayerful participation from all members. If any parish members require transportation to the church for convention, please contact area prayer group leaders or the Secretary.

  • Family Dedication and Tithe Sunday will also be celebrated next Sunday Oct. 29th. All families are requested to participate and sit together for the worship service. Families are also requested to prayerfully prepare and bring their tithe offering. Tithe covers are being distributed as we speak. If contributing cash please make sure to include your name. Please keep the convention and Family Dedication/Tithe Sunday in your prayers.

Sunday School

  • Christmas carol program practice schedule:
    • Today, October 22nd after the service in the fellowship hall.
    • Saturday November 4th 10 am – 12 pm

    Encouraging all SS students to participate. For any questions with the program, please contact Mrs. Shalan George or Dr. Suma Thomas. Assistance is required from parents and church members please let the coordinators know if you are available to help.

  • Sunday School Teachers meeting will be held on Monday, November 13th at 8:00 pm via Zoom. Election of 2024 office bearers will be conducted. All teachers are requested to attend.

Choir

  • Musical Workshop: Detroit Marthoma Church choir will be conducting a musical workshop on Saturday November 4th at 10:30 am at the church. Both English and Malayalam Choir members are kindly invited to attend the workshop. This will be a great time for fellowship and musical practice, please let the Choir leaders know if you are unable to attend the workshop.
  • Choir general body meeting to elect representatives for 2024 will be held on Sunday November 5th after the worship service. Both English and Malayalam Choir members are kindly requested to attend the meeting.

Yuvajana Sakhyam

  • Yuvajana Sakhyam is supporting an Evangelist in the mission fields of India. Thus far funds were raised for a two-wheeler purchase and additional assistance is planned. Requesting contributions and the generous support from members.

Edavaka Sangham List / Members Contribution List

  • The Edavaka Sangham list which includes all parish members 18 years or older is published in the notice board. Please note the list is put in order by house number.  All members are requested to review and please inform the Vicar or Secretary of any corrections.
  • Members contribution list through September 2023 is posted in the notice board. Please review and note the format of the contribution list is modified. Please contact the trustees for any questions or corrections

Parish Events

  • Parish Events for 2023 have been scheduled. The following are the event highlights for the rest of 2023.
    • Parish Convention – Fri. October 27th to Sun. October 29th
    • Christmas Carol Rounding – Dec. 2nd,3rd,9th, and 10th
    • Christmas Carol Service – Sat. December 23rd

We request all parish members to mark these dates on your calendar and request everyone’s sincere participation.

Refreshments

  • Thanks to our youth fellowship for arranging today’s bake sale. This is a fundraiser for the Midwest Regional Youth Conference in December that our youth fellowship is hosting. Requesting the generous support of all parish members.

We will do our very best to live stream all church events, however as this is dependent on trained volunteers there may be technical interruptions and occasions where live streaming is not available. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

  • Zeffy is a user-friendly platform for not-for-profit organizations that allows for one-time and reoccurring monthly contributions with a no transaction fee option.
