  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is a 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Edavaka Mission

  • Monthly Meeting of the Edavaka Mission will be held today Sunday, June 19th after the service

Sunday School

  • VBS 2022 will be held this week, Monday June 20th to Sunday June 26th at the church. All Sunday school children/students are requested to register online. Registration is $5 per child or $20 maximum per family. $10 extra for T-shirt if desired. Registration fee and T-shirt cost is accepted through Venmo or check to the Detroit Mar Thoma Church, please write VBS 2022 and the name of the child registering in the memo.

    Donations are kindly requested to allow for the smooth running of VBS this year. Please consider donating via check or Venmo to the Detroit Mar Thoma Church writing “VBS 2022 Donation” in the memo. Thank you to all those who have donated thus far.

Senior Fellowship

  • Next meeting of the Senior Fellowship will be held on Saturday, June 25th at 5 pm at the church. All seniors are requested to attend

Youth Group

  • 5th Annual Midwest Sports Tournament is hosted by the Detroit Mar Thoma Church and St. John’s Mar Thoma Church youth groups on Friday July 8th starting at 5:30 pm and Saturday July 9th starting at 9 am at the Oakland Fieldhouse Sport Complex in Rochester Hills. For those youths interested in participating in the tournament the Registration deadline is Sunday, June 26th! All church members are welcome to come, watch, and support the tournament at Oakland Fieldhouse.

    If anyone would like to donate to support the tournament, please visit the donation table set up in the hall after service.

    Also a bake sale will be held next Sunday, June 26th in the hall following the church service to raise funds for the Midwest tournament. Requesting participation from all parish members

Farewell Meeting for Kripa

  • Kripa Varghese, daughter of Jose Achen and Shyny Kochamma is traveling back to Kerala on Tuesday June 28th for her further studies. A small farewell meeting is planned for Kripa next Sunday, June 26th, after the worship service. All members are requested to attend.

Church Cleaning

  • On behalf of the executive committee and maintenance sub-committee let me kindly thank all church members who came and participated in the church cleaning on Friday evening and Saturday morning. By God’s grace the weather was comfortable, and we had over 25 church members participate over the 2 days. With everyone’s support and proactiveness we finished many tasks inside and outside the church. Again, a sincere thank you to all those who attended.

Refreshments

  • Thanks to the refreshment committee for arranging today’s refreshments. A special thanks to Mr. Alan Thomas & family and the Sunday School for sponsoring.

Acknowledgements
