Worship Services

  • All are requested to wear face mask. Those who live in the same household are requested to sit together.
  • If you have a fever, cough, high temperature or any other symptoms, please stay home

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is a 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers

  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 7 PM (via Zoom)
  • Fasting prayer this Friday at 10:30 AM (via Zoom)

Church Cleaning

  • Church Cleaning is scheduled for this Friday, June 17th at 5:30 pm and Saturday, June 18th at 9 am. All members are requested to come and participate at least 1 of the 2 days to help beautify and clean the landscape and other areas on the church property. For those planning to attend please wear proper attire and bring outdoor working gloves and available outdoor tools and equipment. More details to be sent later this week.

Edavaka Mission

  • Monthly Meeting of the Edavaka Mission will be held on Sunday, June 19th after the service

Sunday School

  • Graduation Day will be observed on Sunday June 19th to honor the High School Graduates of our church.
    • All Graduate students and parents are requested to attend the service to participate in the dedication prayer that will be conducted during the service. Graduates or their parents are requested to contact Sunday School Superintendent, Biju Mathews, and provide the name of the graduate students who are planning to attend.
  • VBS 2022 will be held on Monday June 20th to Sunday June 26th at the church. All Sunday school children/students are requested to register online as early as possible on the VBS website. Registration is $5 per child or $20 maximum per family. $10 extra for T-shirt if desired. Registration fee and T-shirt cost is accepted through Venmo or check to the Detroit Mar Thoma Church, please write VBS 2022 and the name of the child registering in the memo.
    • Donations are kindly requested to allow for the smooth running of VBS this year. Please consider donating via check or Venmo to the Detroit Mar Thoma Church writing “VBS 2022 Donation” in the memo. Thank you to all those who have donated thus far.
    • There is still a need of volunteers and especially VBS teachers. All those interested in volunteering or teaching please submit your information on the VBS website as soon as possible: https://www.myvbs.org/dmtc
    • All volunteers are requested to stay for a brief meeting today in the sanctuary immediately after the service.

VBS Flyer Final

Youth Group

  • 5th Annual Midwest Sports Tournament is being hosted by both the Detroit Mar Thoma Church and St. John’s Mar Thoma Church youth groups on July 8th starting at 5:30 pm and July 9th starting at 9 am at the Oakland Fieldhouse Sport Complex in Rochester Hills. A bake sale and raffle are planned to raise money for the tournament. The bake sale will be held on June 26th, 2022 in the hall, following church service. If anyone would like to donate, please reach out to any of the youth group committee members or visit the donation table set up in the hall after service.

Choir

  • The 27th Mar Thoma Choir Festival is hosted by our church this year and will be conducted virtually.Date: August 6th, 2022

    Time: 5:00 PM

    Theme: Agape 2022 – The great love of God

    To make the program a blessing the Choir Festival committee warmly welcomes all the members of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church to attend the Choir Festival in person here at our church. Please keep the Choir Festival and its arrangements in your prayers.
