Worship Services

  • Next Sunday – May 22 
    • 10:15 AM – Holy Qurbana in English

  • All are requested to wear face mask. Those who live in the same household are requested to sit together.
  • If you have a fever, cough, high temperature or any other symptoms, please stay home

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is a 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Prayer Fellowship

  • Prayer Group 2 will have a prayer meeting on May 15th at 5:30pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. George Koshy at 35782 Smithfield Rd. Farmington, MI 48335
    All prayer group members are requested to attend

Sunday School

  • 2022 Diocesan Exam will be held virtually through Zoom on Sunday, May 15th

Edavaka Mission

  • Monthly meeting of the Edavaka Mission will be held on May 21st, Saturday at 5:00 pm via Zoom

Yuvajana Sakhyam

  • Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam Diocese of North America and Europe is organizing a Two-Day Convention on May 21st and May 22nd at 8.30 pm through Zoom. Our Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa will be giving the inaugural address for the convention.  Convention speakers are Rev. Sam T Koshy (Vicar of Enathu MTC) and Rev.Dr. K. Mathew (Family Counsellor and Vicar of All Saints MTC, Ayur).  Humbly request all of your prayerful participation in the convention. Sevika Sanghom

  • Sevika Sanghom is organizing a retreat on Saturday, June 4th at 1 pm at the church. The theme for the retreat is “Pierced Silence” based on Esther 4:14.  Rev. Jeswin John will be the main speaker. All Sevika Sanghom members are welcome and requested to attend the retreat.
  • Sevika Sanghom is collecting donations for the Esther fund. The fund is to support families in Kerala who are in critical medical situations. Please send your donations via paypal, venmo or write a check to Detroit Mar Thoma Church and in the memo write Esther fund.

Choir

  • The new Kristheeya Keerthanangal and Hasha kramam books are available for purchase. Please see the choir representatives in the parish hall to obtain your copy. The price is as follows:
    • Kristheeya Keerthanangal – $15
    • Hasha Kremam Malayalam – $10
    • Hasha Kremam Transliterated version – $10

    Payment accepted in the form of cash or check payable to Detroit Mar Thoma Church Choir.

Youth Group

  • No Youth Group Events this weekend.
  • Next weekend will be Youth Group weekend. Saturday Night Sing on May 28th at the church. Boys and Girls Lock-in on Sunday evening, May 29th. Youth Group Picnic on Monday, May 30th at Rotary Park in Livonia.
    • Girls’ lock-in will be at Christina Cherian’s house and Boy’s Lock-in is to be determined. Any families on the West side willing to host the Boy’s Lock-in is requested to contact Christina Cherian or any youth committee members.
  • Youth Group is continuing the clothing drive in partnership with National Honors Society. Requesting all youths and church members to bring any unwanted clothes for donation. Collection will end next Sunday, May 22nd.
  • Youth group is planning to arrange a blood drive with the Red Cross. To finalize a date a minimum commitment of 45 potential donors is required. For those who are interested please complete the online survey included in the announcements:  https://forms.gle/raWDAHdu7pWsLAVE8
