Vicar’s Term Extension

Dear Achen & Office Bearers:

Greetings from the Sinai Mar Thoma Center, New York.

As per the Episcopal Synod’s decision, the term of your Vicar Rev. Varghese Thomas will be extended for one year from May 2022. The Diocese intends to file extension of stay for one year from May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023 for your Vicar.

Since we need to file the extension petition and applications before April 30, 2022, kindly make available the documents (hard copy) in the attached list both from the parish, Achen and family members to be sent to the Diocesan Office on or before February 28, 2022.

Hope the crisis situation will be over and God’s mercy and peace may prevail on everyone.

Worship Services

  • Next Sunday – January 16, Sunday
    • 10:15 AM – Divine Worship in Malayalam (via Zoom)
    • 9 AM – Sunday School (via Zoom)

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is a 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers

  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 7 PM (via Zoom)
  • Fasting prayer this Friday at 10:30 AM (via Zoom)

Edavaka Mission

  • Monthly meeting will be held on January 15th, Saturday at 6 pm via Zoom.

Sunday School

  • Sunday School Teachers meeting will be held on January 16th, Sunday immediately after the worship service Via Zoom. Election for the Sunday School Office Bearers for 2022 will be held during this meeting. 2021 Annual report & Accounts will be presented for approval during this meeting. All teachers are requested to attend this meeting.

Showers of Blessings

  • Mr. Abin and Bincy Varghese were blessed with a baby boy Elijah Zayne Varghese on 12/27/2021. Baby Elijah and mother are doing well. Congratulations to the family.
