Condolence

  • Detroit Mar Thoma Church expresses our deepest condolence at the sad demise of Mr. Mohan Philip (67) brother of our member Mrs. Gracy Varughese (wife of Mr. Varughese Abraham – Raju) on August 27th, 2021, in Kerala. May our Almighty Lord grant them strength and comfort them with His peace.

Worship Service

  • Next Sunday – September 5
    • Holy Qurbana Service in Malayalam at 10:15 AM

Those who wish to partake in the Holy Qurbana, please register online and sign the waiver. All are requested to wear face mask.

  • Note:
    • Only one form submission is required per family
    • Please indicate the number of family members that will be taking communion.
    • Those submitting the form is signing the waiver for all family members.

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers

  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 7 PM (via Zoom)
  • Fasting prayer this Friday at 10:30 AM (via Zoom)

Sunday School

  • Sunday school classes for the new school year will start on September 5th, Sunday. All students and teachers are requested to participate in the dedication service on September 5th, Sunday. Teachers are requested to submit the signed covenants before the service. Students are encouraged to bring Vijayadina Sthothram offertory during their dedication

Sevika Sanghom

  • Sevika Sanghom monthly meeting will be held on September 4th, Saturday at 3:30 PM at the Church
  • Sevika Sanghom Varom will be observed this year, September 6 -12, and Sevika Sanghom Day on Sunday, September 12, 2021. The theme for Sevika Sanghom day this year is ‘Women; Participants in the divine salvific plan of God’ based on St. Mark 14:3-9. Please collect Sevika Sanghom day offertory envelopes.

First Fruit Auction – 2021

  • Our Church is planning to celebrate this year’s Harvest season (first fruit auction) on September 5th, Sunday immediately after the worship service. We request all the members to be part of this by contributing items for auction and participate in the bidding. Last year we have collected around $45,000 and we hope and pray that this year also it will be a success. 15% of the total collection will be used for Good Samaritan fund. Diocesan Family Conference – 2021

  • The 33rd Diocesan Family Conference is scheduled to be held at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center, Atlanta from October 29th to October 31st, 2021.
