Condolences

  • Detroit Mar Thoma Church expresses our deepest condolence on the sad demise of Mr. T. A. Joseph (88 years, Kolethu Tholoor, Chellackadu, Ranny) father of our member Mrs. Mini Tholoor Joseph on July 28th in Kerala. Funeral service was held on July 30th, Friday at the Emmanuel Mar Thoma Church, Pazhavangadi, Ranny. May our Almighty Lord grant them strength and comfort them with His peace. Let’s all stand for a moment of silence and prayer.

Worship Service

  • Next Sunday – August 8

All members are allowed to attend the worship service but those who wish to partake in the Holy Qurbana, please register online and sign the waiver. All are requested to wear face mask.

  • The registration form has been changed:
    • Only one form submission is required per family
    • Please indicate the number of family members that will be taking communion.
    • Those submitting the form is signing the waiver for all family members.

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers

  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 7 PM (via Zoom)
  • Fasting prayer this Friday at 10:30 AM (via Zoom)

Parish Picnic – 2021

  • Parish Picnic will be held on August 7th, Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Civic Center Park, 1827 N Squirrel Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 (near Oakland University). If you are planning to attend the Picnic, please inform your prayer group leaders.

Sevika Sanghom

  • Monthly meeting will be held on August 8th, Sunday after the worship service at the church.
  • Our Sevika Sanghom decided to collect a fund “Esther Fund” to help with charity projects. Humbly request your generous donations and prayerful support. Please make a check to DMTC and in the memo write Sevika Sanghom – Esther Fund. You can also make donations through the payment options such as Venmo and Paypal

Yuvajana Sakhyam

  • DMTC Yuvajana Sakhyam is fundraising for nursing student education aid, an evangelist’s home, and Tharangam Mission Action Center, Arattapuzha, Chengannur. The fundraising goal is for $3000. Encouraging church members to support Yuvajana Sakhyam for these fundraisers. Please make a check to DMTC and in the memo write Yuvajana Sakhyam CHARITY AID. You can also make donations through the payment options such as Venmo and Paypal.

Edavaka Mission

  • Prayer Meeting of MTVEA Diocese of North America and Europe will be held on Monday August 2 at 8.30 pm EST by Zoom. Rev. SAJU C. PAPPACHEN (St. Thomas MTC, NY) will give a message from Scripture.

  • Edavaka Mission is requesting whole hearted support of all the members for helping the needy in Kerala, those who are going through tough times due to the pandemic. We have received many requests for financial assistance, especially from Evangelists who are having hard times because of the Pandemic. Please make your donations to DMTC and in the Memo please write “Edavaka Mission”. You can also make donations through the payment options such as Venmo and Paypal.

Diocesan Family Conference – 2021

  • The 33rd Diocesan Family Conference is scheduled to be held at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center, Atlanta from October 29th to October 31st, 2021.

DMTC Souvenir – 2021

  • There are very few members who are yet to send their pictures/material and payment for the souvenir. Please send material to dmtc.souvenir@gmail.com and payment to the Trustee as early as possible. Please contact Souvenir committee convener Mr. C. V. DMTC Expansion Project Sponsorship Update

  • Project Update: Final inspection for Fire Alarm and Plumbing are done. Mechanical & Electrical final inspection, building inspection for occupancy are scheduled for next week. Please keep the project in your prayers. If you have any questions, please contact Project convener Mr. Vinod Thomas or Parish office bearers.
  • Sponsorship Update: There are still more items that are available for sponsorship. We request individuals/group/Organization to sponsor some of the remaining items. For any further information, please contact church trustee Mr. George Koshy (248-615-1888).
