Condolences


  • Detroit Mar Thoma Church expresses our deepest condolence at the sad demise of our member Mrs. Rebecca George (41) wife of Mr. Abraham George (Aby) on July 16th, Friday at 4:30pm in Windsor, Canada. May our Almighty Lord grant them strength and comfort them with His peace. Funeral details will follow.A special prayer meeting will be held today at 6:30 pm via Zoom for the bereaved family.

    As you all are aware, Rebecca has been under treatment for a very long period and was not able to work. Church has supported them at different times during those difficult periods. Parish executive committee met and decided to support the family at this difficult time. All those who want to help and financially support Rebecca’s family please contribute by making check to DMTC and please write “Good Samaritan fund – Rebecca family” in the Memo. You can also make donations through the payment options such as Venmo and Paypal

Worship Service


  • Next Sunday – July 25

All members are allowed to attend the worship service but those who wish to partake in the Holy Qurbana, please register online and sign the waiver. We removed temperature monitoring requirements but all are requested to wear face mask.

  • The registration form has been changed:
    • Only one form submission is required per family
    • Please indicate the number of family members that will be taking communion.
    • Those submitting the form is signing the waiver for all family members.

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

  • Senior Fellowship monthly meeting will be held on July 24th, Saturday at 3:00pm at the Church

Parish Picnic – 2021


  • Parish Picnic will be held on August 7th, Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Civic Center Park, 1827 N Squirrel Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326 (near Oakland University).

  • The 33rd Diocesan Family Conference is scheduled to be held at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center, Atlanta from October 29th to October 31st, 2021.

Edavaka Mission


  • Edavaka Mission is requesting whole hearted support of all the members for helping the needy in Kerala, those who are going through tough times due to the pandemic. We have received many requests for financial assistance, especially from Evangelists who are having hard times because of the Pandemic. Sunday School Midwest Virtual Junior Camp 2021


  • Our Sunday School is hosting the Midwest Virtual Junior Camp 2021 from July 22nd to July 24th!! We invite all students who have completed 3rd grade to 10th grade to join us for a time of learning, fellowship, and fun!! The theme is: “We Shall Overcome – Confidence with God”, based on John 15:12 – focusing on how our personal relationship with God helps us to overcome the toughest moments of our lives through being confident in who God is and what He has done for us. We desire this theme to foster a hope for the future and encourage supportive relationships that are rooted in faith in Christ. Our main speakers are Rev. Abraham Kuruvilla (Manu achen) and Rev. Jeswin John. We are asking for volunteer teachers from 11th grade and up.

2021 Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference


  • The 42nd session of the Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference will be hosted by Bethany Mar Thoma Church, St. James Mar Thoma Church, & St. Andrews Mar Thoma Church of New York and will take place via Zoom from Friday, July 30th to Sunday, August 1st of 2021. The final day will take place in person at the St. James Mar Thoma Church and the conference will be attended by the Diocesan Bishop, along with the Youth Chaplains, Clergy and laity. The theme of this conference is ‘lnnergram’ based on the scripture reading of Ephesians 4:22-24. The Diocesan Youth Fellowship Council and hosting parishes cordially invite youths from the ages of 18-35 to register and attend the conference. For more details about the

DMTC Souvenir – 2021


  • There are very few members who are yet to send their pictures/material and payment for the souvenir. DMTC Expansion Project Sponsorship Update


  • Project Update: Finishing work is progressing well. We have completed carpeting the church. Audio Video work has started and completed their major items like hanging the speakers, subwoofers and some of the cameras. They are expected to finish the work next week. Carpenter continues to finish the remaining work. Communion kneeling work is progressing and expected to finish in the coming week. Electrician also worked this week to finish off some of the items in the sanctuary. Next week, fire alarm inspection from city is scheduled. Builder is expected to schedule his final walkthroughs to apply for the occupancy. All of the outside work is delayed due to the continuous rain in the last couple of weeks. We hope they will start working on the outside soon. If you have any questions please contact Project convener Mr. Vinod Thomas or Parish office bearers.
