Election Notification – 2021 (2)

Worship Services

  • Next Sunday – December 20th
    • Holy Qurbana Service in Malayalam at 10:15 am (Live Streaming)
    • Sunday School – Common Session – cancelled
      • Due to current Covid situation only 25 members are allowed to attend the worship service and all are allowed to partake in the Holy Qurbana.
      • Those who wish to attend the worship service and to partake in the Holy Qurbana at the church please register online and sign the waiver by Saturday morning.

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers

  • Prayer Meetings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7 PM by Zoom
  • Fasting prayer on Friday at 10:30 AM by Zoom

DMTC Expansion Project

  • UPDATE: Parking lot curb work, brick work and other works in the sanctuary are progressing well. This week the remaining windows will be installed.
  • Finance Update: We still have 25 families who hasn’t pledged yet and 25 families who hasn’t send the pledged amounts. It is very important that we get the already pledged amounts as we have upcoming payments related to the construction. We request the families who hasn’t pledged yet to send in the pledge and the check. As we are getting to the final stages of the project, it is very important that all families participate in the project. The minimum amount is 750 dollars. Please be supportive and be part of this expansion work. If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact Project convener Mr. Vinod Thomas or Parish office bearers. Please continue to support the project through your prayers and generous financial support.
  • Sponsorship Form: Some of the items that are being used in the new sanctuary are available for sponsorship. Please see the attached form for details. For any further information, please contact church trustee Mr. George Koshy (248-615-1888).

Sunday School

  • There will be NO Sunday school (morning 9 am session or classes) next Sunday Dec 20th due to our virtual carol service program the previous night.

Christmas Carol Service – 2020

  • DMTC Christmas Carol Service will be held on December 19th, Saturday at 6:00 PM Via Zoom. Rev. Thomas K. Mathew, Youth Chaplain, Philadelphia will be the chief guest. Melodious carols by our English and Malayalam Choir, special performance by our Sunday school children and carol rounding group. All our members and friends are invited to attend the Christmas carol service virtually.

 

Carol Rounding – 2020

  • This year our Carol Rounding will be held virtually via Zoom on December 20th Sunday. Only the Carolers are required to be at church. Parish members are encouraged to connect via Zoom based on the Prayer Group Schedule given below. (DO NOT COME TO CHURCH)
  • 15 minutes time slot is assigned for each prayer group.
    • Prayer Group 1: 4:00 – 4:15 pm
    • Prayer Group 2: 4:15 – 4:30 pm
    • Prayer Group 3: 4:30 – 4:45 pm
    • Prayer Group 4: 4:45 – 5:00 pm
    • Prayer Group 5&6: 5:00 – 5:15 pm
    • Prayer Group 7: 5:15 – 5:30 pm
  • If anyone is interested to join the carol rounding group, please inform the secretary.

Christmas Day Service – 2020

  • December 25th, Friday Holy Qurbana service in Malayalam at 9 am via live streaming.

Ecumenical Christmas Program – 2020

  • Ecumenical Christmas program will be held on December 27th, Sunday 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm by online platform. Detroit Ecumenical Council of Kerala Churches invites all the members from all Churches and congregations to attend the 2020 Ecumenical Christmas program virtually.

Watch Night Service

  • December 31st, Thursday
    • 9:30 PM – Witnessing Session via Zoom
    • 11:00 PM – Holy Qurbana service in English via live streaming.

Youth Group

  • Virtual Midwest Regional Youth Conference will be conducted on December 26 & 27 from 4-7 PM both days. There is no registration fee and registration will end on December 13. The speaker is Jocelyn George. Registration link: https://forms.gle/J2VHJd1ABmk6UobB9

Choir

  • Choir General Body Meeting will be held on 13th December 13th, Sunday at 5 pm via Zoom. Office bearers for the year 2021 will be elected at this meeting.

Prayer Groups

  • Prayer group 4 will have a prayer meeting on December 13th, Sunday at 5:30 pm via Zoom.  Prayer group leader for the year 2021 will be elected at this meeting.
  • Prayer group 2 will have a prayer meeting on December 13th, Sunday at 6:00 pm via Zoom. Prayer group leader for the year 2021 will be elected at this meeting.
  • Prayer group 1 will have a prayer meeting on December 13th, Sunday at 6:30 pm via Zoom. Prayer group leader for the year 2021 will be elected at this meeting.
  • Prayer group 7 will have a prayer meeting on December 13th, Sunday at 7:00 pm via Zoom. Prayer group leader for the year 2021 will be elected at this meeting.

Annex Building – Items

  • Executive committee has decided to dispose few items from the Annex building. Please contact our trustee Mr. George Koshy (248-615-1888) for more details.

Trustees Appeal

  • We have only 2 more Sundays to close the financial year on Dec 31st. Kindly make all the payments as early as possible. Your support is prayerfully appreciated
