Condolences

  • Detroit Mar Thoma Church expresses our deepest condolence at the sad demise of MR. K. O. MATHEW KANDATHIL (97 years old) brother of our member Mr. Santosh Thomas’s (Northville) father on Tuesday, October 20th in Ayoor, Kerala. Funeral service was held on October 21st. May the Almighty Lord strengthen and comfort the family with peace that passeth all human understanding

Worship Services

  • Next Sunday – November 1st
    • Holy Qurbana Service in Malayalam at 10:15 am (Live Streaming)
    • Sunday School – Common Session at 9 AM (via Zoom)

As per the decision of the Executive committee:

      • Total of 25 members are allowed to attend the worship service
      • Total of 8 members will be allowed to participate in the Holy Qurbana.  Each individual that is interested to participate needs to register individually and sign the waiver using the following link:

        • You will receive an initial email confirming your request and then another email once the request has been approved.

        • Note: If you have recently participated in the Holy Communion, please give other members a chance to participate also.

If anyone is interested to come and participate in the service at the church, especially those who are celebrating birthday or wedding anniversary please inform the Vicar or Secretary.

Online Payments through PayPal

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers

  • Prayer Meetings on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7 PM by Zoom
  • Fasting prayer on Friday at 10:30 AM by Zoom

Sunday School

  • Vijayadhinam Sthothram is still being collected and Sunday school uses this for different charity purposes, especially to help the needy during this pandemic time. The funds received so far this year is comparatively low and request your whole hearted financial support for Vijayadhinam Sthothram.  Please mail the checks to the church address and include “Vijayadhinam Sthothram” in the memo. The last date for this is Nov 1st.

  • The Diocese is organizing a Condolence & Thanksgiving Meeting today, October 25, at 8:00 PM EST to thank God for the life and Ministry of Late Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan.   • Diocesan Directory-2020 is ready for distribution. Those who ordered the Diocesan Directory-2020, please contact Mr. C. V. Samuel (586-216-0602) for your copy.

DMTC Project Update

  • Integrity builders have almost finished roof work and walls. We are waiting for the Dome and expecting to finish it in the next couple of weeks. Land clearing for the parking lot construction has started and back side parking lot access will be limited in the coming weeks. You can view the construction progress by visiting the church website. If you have any questions regarding the project, please contact Project convener Mr. Vinod Thomas or Parish office bearers. Please continue to support the project through your prayers and generous financial support.
