Update of Rev. Jobin Jose
- House Visit Schedule
House visits are planned to begin from May 18th Monday at Prayer Group 1 and the week after that will be Prayer Group 6. Prayer Group Leaders will be coordinating and making arrangements for visits to homes within their respective prayer groups.
- The plan is to schedule approximately one week per prayer group.
- We hope and pray that most of the house visits can be completed during this period.
Kindly extend your cooperation by accommodating the visit when your prayer group leader contacts you to schedule a time. We are also expecting one prayer meeting during this week and it will be nice if we can arrange it at the end of the prayer group visits.
Just a reminder about achens schedule. As we announced earlier, based on executive committee decision, we are trying to limit achens & family’s visits just to offical engagements as the family doesn’t have their medical insurance nor they are part of the auto insurance. Please let us know if you are interested in having achen for any other engagements. Please reach out to secretary if you have any questions. It is important that everyone follow the directions. Thanks for your understanding
India Mission Trip
As we have announced earlier, Diocese is arranging a Mission trip to various India Mission fields. This year, they are going to Andhra Pradesh and South Karnataka mission fields. This is specifically planned for the youths of our diocese between the ages of 18 and 35. You need to register by May 25 to be part of this Mission Trip. Please contact our Vicar Jobin Achen or the Diocese if you want to get more details.
Our parish will also bear a part of the expense if you are interested in going. Please talk to Achen or the Office bearers if you want to know more details about the support.

Church Mobile App
- We are delighted to announce the launch of our parish mobile applications! Both Android and iOS apps are now available for download on the Play Store and App Store.
This achievement is the result of dedicated effort and collaboration over a long period of time. It would not have been possible without the hard work and commitment of many individuals.
I would like to extend a special round of applause to Joshua, Andrew, and Aaron for their tremendous efforts in bringing this project to life. Your dedication has truly made a difference. I would also like to sincerely thank Sujeev for his leadership and guidance throughout this journey.
Please send us your suggestions and feedback about the app. You can also suggest it online
Email Issues
- If you are not receiving the church emails or weekly announcements, please send an email to the secretary at sec@detroitmarthoma.org. We will check from our side if there are any issues. You can also check your spam folder or blocked emails to see if this email is being blocked. You can also check our church website www.detroitmarthoma.org to see the weekly announcements
Refreshments
- Today’s refreshments will be conducted through the Youth Group Bake Sale. Thanks to all the volunteers for making the arrangements.
- Note from the refreshment team:
- Refreshments will be served for 30 minutes only and the cleanup will start after. Requesting every one to join the fellowship time as soon as we finish the benediction.
- Requesting everyone to give the one time yearly contribution for the Refreshment. The minimum required contribution is 100 dollars. If you give the amount at the beginning of the year, it will greatly help the team better plan for the year
- We also request everyone—kids and adults alike—to please dispose of used plates, cups, and glasses in the trash cans provided. Leaving them around the parish hall creates extra work for our volunteers, who already dedicate their time to arrange the refreshments, clean up all the plates, coffee makers and other vessels used in the refreshments and make the space ready for the next event. Let’s all do our part to keep the hall clean and reduce the burden on our volunteers and office bearers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
