Update of Rev. Jobin Jose

  • Jobin Achen & his family starts their travel from India on Thursday May 7 and will reach here on Friday May 8 at 1:15 PM. He is coming in through Air France via Paris. Executive Committee has all the transition plans finalized and they will be working to get everything ready for a smooth transition.

During this transition period, the Diocese has not officially assigned the charge of our parish to any other Achen. If any of our families requires pastoral care during this time, please reach out to the Office Bearers, who will arrange the necessary support.

Santosh achen has also requested Rev. Sanjo Varghese (Vicar, St. John’s) to assist as needed.

Executive Committee updates

  • Quarterly contributions list is published and posted in the notice board. Please take a look at your contributions and contact Trustees if you have any questions. This is also a time to remit your dues, especially Resissa, Self Denial, Refreshments, Voluntary Contributions. Per the latest accounts, we haven’t received the required Resissa  and Diocesan Sunday collections for our parish yet. Each member is suppose to remit 3 dollars / adult for Resissa and 20 dollars per family for Diocesan Contribution. This is a mandatory collection for the church. Please check the list and pay the amount to the trustees

Email Issues

You can also check your spam folder or blocked emails to see if this email is being blocked. You can also check our church website www.detroitmarthoma.org to see the weekly announcements

Refreshments

  • Our thanks to the refreshment team for arranging todays lunch
  • Note from the refreshment team:
    • Refreshments will be served for 30 minutes only and the cleanup will start after. Requesting every one to join the fellowship time as soon as we finish the benediction.
    • Requesting everyone to give the one time yearly contribution for the Refreshment. The minimum required contribution is 100 dollars. If you give the amount at the beginning of the year, it will greatly help the team better plan for the year
    • We also request everyone—kids and adults alike—to please dispose of used plates, cups, and glasses in the trash cans provided. Leaving them around the parish hall creates extra work for our volunteers, who already dedicate their time to arrange the refreshments, clean up all the plates, coffee makers and other vessels used in the refreshments and make the space ready for the next event. Let’s all do our part to keep the hall clean and reduce the burden on our volunteers and office bearers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Birthdays & Wedding Anniversaries
