Youth Group
- URBAN MISSIONs: The Neighborhood Mission ministry of the Mar Thoma Mission Board of the Diocese serves to enhance the Mar Thoma Church’s local mission presence, recognizing local communities as crucial mission fields. Many of our parishes are situated near major cities, where a large portion of the population in these urban centers face challenging issues such as drug abuse, crime, family breakdowns, scarcity of essential necessities, and homelessness. Neighborhood Mission aims to raise awareness of these challenges among our church members and to respond with Christ’s love.In this regard, the Mar Thoma Urban Missions was established as an annual mission trip to specific urban cities within our Diocese. This year, in conjunction with the Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference, the Urban Missions trip will be held in Toronto, Canada, from Sunday, July 28th to Thursday, August 1st, 2024.
If interested in joining the team, the mission trip is open to Mar Thoma Church members (18 years and above), who have a heart to serve and who have the desire to impact lives by sharing the compassion of Christ. For more details, please visit the official website at www.mtcurbanmissions.org. The registration deadline is June 30th, 2024. For additional information, please visit the website or contact the Urban Missions organizers at marthomamissionboard@gmail.com or mtc.urbanmissions@gmail.com.
