We joyfully welcome Santhosh Achen, Donna Kochamma, and daughters Nivedhya, Naomi, Nanma to our parish. Let us pray for God Almighty’s abundant blessings and wisdom for Achen and family as they minister in our church and community
Sunday School
- VBS 2023 – Please save the date for VBS 2023VBS will be held from June 19th to the 24th at the church. Join us as we put on the Armor of God with this year’s theme “Keepers of the Kingdom”. Registration will continue today after service in the hall and is also available online. Registration fee is $10 per child and maximum of $30 for family. Those who are interested in teaching/volunteering are also requested to sign up at the registration table in the hall or online. VBS website: https://www.myvbs.org/dmtc2023
- SS Diocesan exam will be conducted next Sunday, May 21st from 12:00-1:30. All registered students are requested to assemble in the fellowship hall by 11:15 am.
- Midwest Regional Sunday School Teacher’s Retreat will be held on Saturday June 10th from 10 am to 12 pm via Zoom hosted by Columbus/Minneapolis/Indianapolis. Guest speaker will be Rev. Sam Lukose, Vicar of St. Mark’s MTC Tampa, FL. All Sunday School teachers are encouraged to attend. Youth Group
- Bible Study: There will be bible study this Saturday May 13th at 1:30 pm
- Youth Group Weekend will be held from May 26th – 29th. This year’s theme is Unplug and Recharge based on Matthew 11:28 “come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” YG weekend will begin on Friday, May 26th, with Friday Night Sing at 6pm at the church. Boys and Girls Lock-in on Sunday, May 28th at 5:30 pm and Youth Group Picnic on Monday, May 29th at Firefighters Park at 10:30 am
- The Chicago Mar Thoma Church Youth Group will be hosting the 5th Annual Midwest Sports Tournament starting on Friday, June 9th and concluding on Saturday, June 10th. Tournament will take place at the Centre of Elgin located at 100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL 60120. Woman’s Volleyball Tournament will start on Friday and end on Saturday and Men’s Basketball Tournament will start and end on Saturday.Sports Tournament Team Details:1) Men’s Basketball

- This year’s Urban Missions Trip will be held in Chicago, IL, from July 17-20, 2023. The trip is open to all Mar Thoma members over the age of 18. Registration for this trip will be $250 per person, however the Diocese will give grants to individuals to make this trip affordable.Registration links will be provided in the youth group e-mail announcements. Registration deadline will be May 15, 2023. - The 44th Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference will be held on July 20-23, 2023 at the campus of Trinity International University located in the suburbs of Chicago, IL hosted by St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church of Chicago.The DYFC 2023 Convening Committee (St. Thomas MTC Chicago) wholeheartedly welcomes and invites the youths of our parish to the conference.
