Online Payments through PayPal


  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is a 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 7 PM (via Zoom)

Prayer Fellowship


  • Prayer Group 4 will have prayer meeting on April 24th at 5:00pm at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Varghese in Canton, MI. All prayer group members are requested to attend
  • The Updated Prayer Group list is posted on the notice board. This updated list includes reorganization of prayer groups 5, 6 and 7 as Prayer groups 5 & 6.All parish members are requested to review the list as soon possible and notify the Vicar or Secretary of any corrections to address or phone number.

Senior Fellowship


  • The next meeting of the Senior Fellowship will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 3.00 pm at the Church. All seniors are requested to attend

Youth Group


  • Youth group get together on Saturday April 23rd at 3:30 pm at Jessica and Jency Shaji’s house. There will be a sign up sheet in the youth group e-mail this week for youths to bring a dish. 
  • The Youth Group is collecting information from youth members through Google Form, link to the form is provided through the Youth Group e-mail. All current and new Youth Group members are requested to complete the form at their earliest convenience. 
  • Starting on April 24, Youth Group will be starting a clothing drive. Requesting all youths and church members to bring any unwanted clothes for donation. Collection will continue through Sunday, May 22nd. Please ensure that all donations are clean, in fair condition, and do not have any graphic messages/profanity. If there are any questions, please reach out to Christina Cherian or Benjamin Mathews. 
  • On Friday April 22, the Midwest Regional Leadership Conference will take place on Zoom. Retreat will include message by Rev. Christopher Daniel and track session by Rev. Jeswin John. All youths interested to attend are requested to sign up by tomorrow April 18, additional information provided in the youth group e-mail.

Choir


  • A meeting of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church Choir General Body meeting will be held on Sunday April 24th after worship service in the sanctuary. All choir members are requested to attend this meeting. The following is the agenda:Agenda
    1. Elect Choir Festival Convener & Committee members
    2. Elect Choir Treasurer
    3. AOB with permission
  • Choir is planning to order Kristheeya Keerthangal books and Hasha Kramam books from Kerala. Approximately 500 songs are included in this song book version. If interested please visit the sign up table set-up in the hall or contact area prayer group leaders.

Edavaka Mission


  • The 16th Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelists’ Association Diocesan conference will be hosted by the South East Region MTVEA from August 18th through 21st in Carlisle, PA. The theme of the conference is based on Luke 10:5 “Peace builders in the Kingdom of God” and will be lead by Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa, and our own prominent clergy and lay leaders.
    • Conference highlights include motivating messages, Bible Study, Praise and Worship, Missions Awareness Session, Group Discussions/Activities, Witnessing, Talent Night and last but not least, visit to Sight and Sound Theater to experience one of the most legendary Bible story (DAVID)
    • Registration kick off and website launching was held on February 27th at Bethel Mar Thoma Church Philadelphia

Yuvajana Sakhyam


  • First edition of this year’s “Yuvadhara” – will be released on May 25th, 2022. The theme for this edition is “Discern the Will of God”. Creative content, such as poetry, story, essay, cartoon and articles with Christian values and related to the theme are welcome. Full page compliments are invited from Yuvajana Sakhyam families and business to meet the financial needs of this publication at the rate of $100. Compliments and content must be emailed by April 17, 2022 to yuvadharanews@gmail.com.

Refreshments


  • Thanks to the refreshment committee for arranging today’s refreshments.
  • A friendly reminder from the refreshment committee, all families are requested to contribute $75 to the church for refreshments as decided in past years.  Refreshment committee is having difficulties making weekly arrangements as funds are very low this year, only 20-25 families have contributed thus far. All families are requested to contribute as soon as possible. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
