General Body Notice


  • The General Body Meeting of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church will be held on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 in the sanctuary after the Holy Communion Service presided by the President and Vicar, Rev. Varghese Thomas.

    The agenda is as follows:

    1. Presentation and Adoption of the Annual Report for 2021
    2. Presentation and Adoption of the ratified over-budgeted and non-budgeted items for 2021
    3. Presentation and Adoption of the Audited Accounts for 2021
    4. Presentation and Adoption of the Budget for 2022

    All General Body members are requested to attend this meeting. Annual Report will be distributed today in the fellowship.

Worship Services


  • Next Sunday – March 13
    • 10:15 AM – Holy Qurbana in English (at the Church)
    • 9 AM – Sunday School (at the Church)
  • All are requested to wear face mask. Those who live in the same household are requested to sit together.
  • If you have a fever, cough, high temperature or any other symptoms, please stay home

  • Please note that if you choose to send in your contribution through PayPal, please choose “Sending to Family & Friends” option. Otherwise there is a 3% fee that will be taken out of your contribution by PayPal. The church will not receive the full amount contributed.

Online Weekly Prayers


  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 7 PM (via Zoom)
  • Fasting prayer this Friday at 10:30 AM (via Zoom)

Sunday School


  • Sunday School Teachers meeting will be held on today after the worship Service.
  • Sunday School Talent Festival will be held on April 3rd, Sunday after the worship Service. Those who are interested to participate, please contact your Sunday school teacher or the coordinators Ms. Mini Varghese, Ms. Sarasu David and Ms. Sarah Laby. Details will be posted on the notice board.

Diocesan Youth Fellowship


  • Diocesan Youth Fellowship will be hosting a Lenten Fellowship for the Lent season of 2022. The fellowships will take place every Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time) via Zoom. All Youth Fellowship members are requested to join for a time of prayer and devotion on the following evenings:

  • General Body Meeting will be held today immediately after the worship service at the Church. 2021 Annual Report & Audited accounts will be presented in this meeting. All Sevika Sanghom members are requested to attend this meeting.
  • World Day of Prayer service will be held on March 20th, Sunday
  • Sevika Sanghom National Conference
    • Diocesan Sevika Sanghom 20th national conference will be held on October 13-16, 2022. The conference will be hosted by Mar Thoma Church of Dallas Farmers branch. The theme for the conference is ‘Women: Mentors of the new world” based on John 20:17. Those who are interested to attend this conference, please register before August 30, 2022

  • Monthly Meeting will be held on March 12th, Saturday at 6:00 PM at the Church.

Edavaka Mission


  • General Body Meeting will be held on March 19th, Saturday at 5:00 PM at the Church. 2021 Annual Report & Audited accounts will be presented in this meeting.

The Great Lent


  • The Great Lent “Sandhya Namaskaram” will start from March 23, Wednesday at 7pm via Zoom
