Weekly Prayers

  • Intercessory Prayer on Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the Parsonage.
  • Fasting prayer on Friday at 10:30 AM at the Church.

Prayer Fellowship

  • Prayer Group 1: Will have a prayer meeting on July 7th Sunday at 6:o0 PM at the residence of Mr. George & Gracy Abraham in Livonia. Please note the time change that prayer will be held at 6 pm

Sunday School

  • Memory verse recital: The last date for completing memory verse recital is July 14th

Youth Group

  • Summer Volleyball will be held on July 3rd, Wednesday at 6:30 pm
  • DMTC Summer Sports League 2019: Our Youth group will be hosting Basketball and Volleyball League from July 6th to July 28th. Anyone who is 13 years and older may participate in this tournament. Men’s Basketball will be held on Saturdays at 9:30 AM and Women’s Volleyball on Sundays at 1:30 PM in the School Gym. If you would like to participate, please fill out the registration form by today, June 30th. Also, please fill out the waiver form and give it to Maya Abraham before the start of the sports League. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Abin Varghese, Shane Thomas, Tommy Samuel, Bincy Varghese, Maya Abraham or Sincie Chacko.

Sevika Sanghom

  • Monthly meeting will be held on July 6th, Saturday at 3 pm at the church.
  • Sevika Sanghom is supporting a Nursing Student in India and request donations for this project. Please make check to Detroit Mar Thoma Church Sevika Sanghom and give to Sevika Sanghom treasurer Jessy Philip.
  • Sevika Sanghom 19th Annual Diocesan Conference will be held from Thursday, October 10th through Sunday, October 13th at Trinity Mar Thoma Church, Houston. The theme for this year’s conference is Women: Agents of Life (Exodus 1:17) and will be led by Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa. Registration deadline is June 30th, next Sunday and after the deadline there will be a $25 late fee will be added to the registration fee.

Yuvajana Sakhyam

  • Monthly meeting will be held on July 13th, Saturday at 2:30pm at the Church. Please note the time change that the meeting will be held at 2.30PM.
  • Diocesan Yuvajana Sakhyam Conference
    20th Diocesan Yuvajana Sakhyam Conference will be held from October 4th to October 6th, hosted by Christos Mar Thoma YuvajanaSakhyam, Philadelphia. Those who are interested to attend the conference please contact Thomas Scariah. Registration deadline is July 31. More information is available at https://www.ysconference2019.org.

Edavaka Mission

  • Edavaka Mission monthly meeting on July 20th, Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Church. Please note the time change that the meeting will be at 2.00PM.
  • Edavaka Mission is requesting donations to give financial support for Nursing Students in India. Please make check to Detroit Marthoma Church and in the memo please write Edavaka Mission-Nursing student support.
  • The Mar Thoma Voluntary Evangelist’s Association of the Diocese of North America and Europe is hosting the 15th Diocesan Conference from August 1st to August 4th in Toronto at the St. Mathew’s Mar Thoma Church. The theme of the conference is based on 1 Cor 3:9, “Co-Workers of the Kingdom of God” and will be led by Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Mathews Mar Makarios Episcopa, clergies and lay leaders. Those who are interested to attend the conference please contact Mr. Georgey Mathews. Registration deadline is June 30th.

Senior Fellowship

  • Senior Fellowship 5th National Diocesan Conference will be held from September 25th-28th at Ascension Mar Thoma Church, Philadelphia, PA. Those who are interested to attend please contact Mr. George Thomas (Babu) or Mr. P.M. George for registration forms and more details.

DMTC Project – City Approval

  • We are very glad to announce that Southfield City Council has approved the site plan for church expansion and special land use permit. We will continue working with the architects for the next phases of the project. Please remember to pledge the financial support. Thanks to all those who have pledged so far. Latest pledge details are posted on the notice board.

Parish Picnic

  • We would like to thank each and every one who participated and helped with church picnic yesterday, from preparing the food to organizing the games. Thanks to all the volunteers, senior members and youth group members who worked hard to make it a wonderful experience. Special thanks to the picnic conveners Mr. Jacob Thomas, Mr. Shaji Thomas, Mr. Kuruvilla Thomas and all prayer group leaders.
