Condolences
- Detroit Mar Thoma church would like to expresses our deepest condolence at the demise of Mrs. Rachel George (89) mother of Mr. Anil George on August 1st in Kerala. Funeral service will be held on August 6th, Monday at Punnackadu Immanuel Marthoma Church. May God’s love strengthen the family and His peace comfort them. Let’s all please stand for a moment of prayer.

Senior Fellowship
- Our Senior Fellowship is planning a trip to Ark Encounter (Noah’s Ark) in Williamstown, Kentucky on Tuesday, August 14th. Those who have signed up for the trip, please be at the church y 5:30 AM. Please keep those who are traveling in your prayers.
Sunday School
- The anniversary program will be held on Sat August 11th at 2:30 pm. All those children who are interested in taking part in any solo or group performance please give your names to the coordinators; Mrs. Ciji Joseph or Mrs. Annie Varghese. All are welcome to come attend and be a part of the SS anniversary celebration to encourage our children.
Sevika Sanghom
- There will be a Sevika Sangam meeting on Aug 12th after church service. All ladies 18 and older are requested to attend.
Yuvajana Sakhyam
- The monthly meeting for August will be held on Aug 11th, Saturday at 6:00 pm, at the residence of Mr. Jeji Kurien and Mrs. Bahitha Uthup. Guest speaker Rev Dr. Mohan V Paul who is a bible teacher and instructor.

Family Retreat
- Save the Weekend of September 28-30, 2018 for our upcoming Family Retreat to be held at the Howell Nature Center. Details to follow. Please contact Vinod Thomas, Jaya Varghese or Sabina Cherian for more information.
Mar Thoma Fest – 2018
- Mar Thoma fest 2018 is coming soon, it will be held on Saturday, August 18th.
The auction will be held on Sunday, 19th of August 2018 after the church service, during refreshment time. We encourage families to support by donating items for the Marthoma fest auction. Please bring non-perishable items before Aug 18th and perishable items can be brought on Aug 18th or 19th. Those who are interested in donating items for the auction can contact the coordinator: Thomas Abraham (Joji).
Requesting help from our church members to volunteer at the food stalls for our Mar Thoma fest so that it can be a successful and enjoyable event. Food stalls will be open at 12:30. For more details on how we could use your help please contact the Mar Thoma Fest conveners Mr. Binu Jacob or Mrs. Usha Thomas.

Mar Thoma Choir Festival
- Silver Jubilee Mar Thoma Choir Festival Toronto was held yesterday on August 4th, 2018 at the Canadian Mar Thoma Church, Toronto. It was a blessed and memorable evening. Praising God for safe travels for all our choir members, their families and church members that attended the event.
Detroit Ecumenical Council of Kerala Churches
- St. Thomas Day Celebration & Family Conference 2018 will be held on August 5th, 2018 (Sunday) from 4 pm – 7 pm, at St. Thomas Orthodox Church (2850 Parent Ave, Warren, MI, 48092). All are invited to attend the St. Thomas day celebration and Family conference.
