The Power of our Words (Rebecca Varghese)

Ephesians 4:29

“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but  only such as is good for building up, as fits the  occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” During this Lenten season, let us be mindful of the  words we speak, choosing kindness and grace in  every conversation. It is often easy to slip into patterns  of negativity—whether through gossip, harsh words, or  judgmental attitudes. We often fail to leave room for  grace in our interactions with others. Yet, as followers  of Christ, we are called to reflect His love not only in  our actions but also in our speech. Whether we are  speaking to friends, strangers, or even those who have  wronged us, may our words be uplifting, encouraging,  and full of grace. Let us also remember to extend the  same compassion to others that God so freely gives to  us, recognizing that everyone carries burdens we  cannot see.

CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, as we walk through this season of  Lent, help us to be intentional with our words. Let us  speak with kindness, encouragement, and grace,  avoiding language that tears others down. Forgive us  for the times we have spoken carelessly or hurtfully.  Thank You for Your endless grace, and may we reflect  it in the way we speak and interact with others. Teach  us to follow Your example, using our words to bring  light and love. Amen
