God’s Grace that is poured out (Mathew Chacko)

St. John 1:9-14

St. John 1:9-14, we are reminded of the profound gift of  God’s grace poured out through Jesus Christ. The “true light”  that comes into the world is not just a source of guidance, but a  beacon of God’s unmerited favor. Jesus, the Word made flesh,  dwelled among us, revealing God’s love and mercy in a  tangible way. Though many did not recognize or receive Him,  His grace still flows freely, offering salvation to all who believe  in His name.

As we reflect during this Lenten season, we are invited to  examine how we respond to this grace. Are we open to the  light of Christ in our lives, allowing it to transform us? In a world  that often seeks to remain in darkness, may we embrace the  grace that is continually poured out, and let it guide us to live  with love, humility, and forgiveness—drawing others into the  light of Christ’s saving presence.

CLOSING PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the incredible gift of Your grace, poured out  through Your Son, Jesus Christ. As we reflect on His light  coming into the world, we are reminded of Your boundless love  and mercy that invite us into Your presence. Lord, help us to  receive Your grace with open hearts, allowing it to transform  our lives. May we no longer walk in darkness, but live in the  light of Christ, sharing His love with others.

In this Lenten season, strengthen our faith and guide us in  reflecting Your grace to the world around us. Help us to be  vessels of Your compassion, humility, and forgiveness, so that  we may reflect Your love in all we do. May Your grace  continually lead us to a deeper relationship with You and a life  that brings glory to Your name.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
