Mathew 6:5
Lent is a time of prayer, fasting and giving. The theme of fasting, repentance and preparation are deeply rooted in biblical principles.
Prayer during Lent is often emphasized as a way to deepen one’s relationship with God, seek guidance, and reflect on Christ’s sacrifice. Many people commit to additional prayers, Scripture reading, or attending church services to foster spiritual growth during this season. Jesus instructs on private and sincere prayer in Mathew 6:5.
Lent reminds us that transformation is possible. Let this season be a time of growth, faith and renewed purpose in Christ. Each sacrifice we make in Lent is a step closer to the joy of Easter.
CLOSING PRAYER
Heavenly Father, as we journey through this season of Lent, we come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your grace, Your mercy, and Your strength. Help us to turn away from distractions that pull us from You and guide us toward a deeper awareness of Your presence.
In our fasting, may we hunger for righteousness. In our prayer, may we find comfort in Your voice. In our giving, may we reflect Your generous love. Amen
