Colossians 3: 1-10
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things”. We as believers are called to live a transformed life – a shift from our earthly desires to a heavenly/ eternal mindset. Paul provides us with a reminder that as believers in Christ, we have been raised with Him, and our focus should no longer be on the temporary but on the eternal.
This passage is not only a call to think about heaven and the promise God has given to his believers, but also to shape our priorities, desires, and actions according to what God commands.
Let this passage remind us that this spiritual growth is a daily process. This will not come to us overnight. In the same way that we change our clothes everyday, let us “put on” the character of Christ, and “put off” the things that drive us away from God.
CLOSING PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father,
Give me the strength to set my heart and mind on you. Help me to put away anything that separates me from your presence. Continue to transform me so that my life reflects Your love and truth.
