Sabha Dinam Day
- This Thursday, December 21st will be observed as Sabha Dinam, celebrating St. Thomas the Apostle in India. Holy Communion service in Malayalam will be conducted at 10 am at the church. Encouraging all parish members to attend especially those who are sick and/or prefer a less crowded Qurbana service
Christmas Service
- Christmas Service will be celebrated next Monday, December 25th. Holy Qurbana in Malayalam at 9:00 am. PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE
Christmas Carol Rounding
- Our Christmas Carol Rounding finishes today. The following is the schedule:
- Sunday Dec. 17th – Ann Arbor & Lansing area
- Starting at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Varughese Abraham (49595 Winslow Ct. Plymouth MI 48170) after the service and then going to Ann Arbor & Lansing area

- A friendly reminder to all parish members to submit their Christmas contributions by year end especially encouraging parish families that were not visited during the carol rounding. We thank all those who have already contributed.
Christmas Carol Service
- Our Christmas Carol Service will be held on December 23rd at 5 pm at our church. Fr. Justin Puthussery, Vicar of St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Church, will deliver the Christmas message. The service will include songs from our Malayalam and English Choirs and special presentation from our Sunday School and Carol Rounding group. All parish members are requested to prayerfully participate in this blessed service

Yuvajana Sakhyam
- Meeting and Elections for the year 2024 will be held on Sunday, December 24th after the worship service.All YS members are requested to attend.
Winter Pickleball Tournament
- A Winter pickleball tournament is planned from Tuesday Jan. 2 to Saturday Jan. 6 in the fellowship hall. All church members are welcome to participate. Those interested need to register online and fill out the registration form. Kitchen & Storage Facilities Study – Options for Review
- As per General Body decision the executive committee is requesting all parish members to review options that were presented during the General Body and provide their feedback by January 14th, 2024. To streamline the review/feedback, a survey has been sent to parish members by e-mail with subject “Qualtrics Survey: Kitchen & Storage Facilities Study”.The survey is very simple and has a maximum of 3 questions/entries and should take no longer than 5-10 minutes. All parish members 18 years and above are welcome to participate in this survey. If parish members have not received the survey e-mail please inform the Secretary.
For those who require assistance in completing the survey a table is set-up in the fellowship hall and Executive Committee members will be available to support. We appreciate and value your input and thank you for your participation. So far we have about a 20% participation rate we hope to see this increase in the next few weeks.
Invitation – Ecumenical Christmas Program
- Dearly Beloved in Christ, we are thrilled to announce that the Detroit Ecumenical Council of Kerala churches’ 29th Christmas Program will be conducted on Friday Dec 29th, at 6PM at St Thomas Orthodox Church in Warren, MI. Christmas Message will be given by Rev. Jeswin John, vicar of SJMTC. We are encouraging all member churches to participate and make this a memorable event. Let’s all come together and celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!
Note from Trustees
- As we are approaching the end of the year, please make sure to submit all contributions for the year 2023 on or before December 31st, 2023. All contributions received after December 31st including checks with previous date will be accounted for in year 2024.Also any invoices and receipts from 2023 that are to be reimbursed by the church are also requested to be submitted by December 31st, 2023. This is to help our trustees with closing the 2023 accounts and preparing reports in a timely manner.
