Choir
- The 27th Mar Thoma Choir Festival is hosted by our church this year and will be conducted this Saturday August 6th at 5 pm at the Detroit Mar Thoma Church. Please note only choirs from the Detroit Mar Thoma Church and St. Thomas Church, Chicago will be participating in the Choir Festival in-person. The remaining choirs will participate in the Choir Festival virtually through recordings shown through livestream.Livestreaming Link: https://detroitmarthoma.org/2022ChoirFestival
To make the program a blessing the Choir Festival committee warmly welcomes all the members of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church to attend the Choir Festival in-person here at our church. Dinner will be provided for those attending in-person. Please keep the Choir Festival and its arrangements in your prayers.
Yuvajana Sakhyam
- Mid-West Regional Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam Regional Conference and Kalamela-2022 is planned to be held on Saturday, September 23, 2022 at Detroit Mar Thoma Church. Regional conference will start at 9:00 AM. Rev. Ajith K. Thomas (Vicar of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Chicago) is the chief guest and speaker. Theme for the conference is “Walking in the way of Christ” based on Colossians 1:10. Kalamela will start at 1:00 PM. Shakha with the most points will be awarded the Dona Alex Memorial Ever Rolling Trophy.
- To participate in the Kalamela-2022 on September 23rd, DMTC Yuvajana Sakhyam will have a Kalamela on Saturday, Aug 13th, 2022 at 4:30pm. Requesting all Yuvajana Sakhyam members to participate and provide names if interested by Aug 7, 2022.

Mar Thoma Fest 2022
- Mar Thoma Fest 2022 will be held on the weekend of Saturday August 20th, 2022 at the church. Cordially inviting all church members to participate and attend to make this event successful. Activities will include sports, painting competition, Bounce House for children, and Health & Wellness Promotion. Food stall with a variety of freshly made and delicious cuisine will be available on Saturday at noon time and through the afternoon. Finally, Saturday evening we will have a cultural program filled with songs, dance, skit, fashion show and other entertaining items.For the cultural program:

- 3 vs 3 half court basketball on Saturday, August 20th
- A team roster may have a maximum of 4 players
- Registration Fee per team is $30

- Volleyball
- 6 vs 6 volleyball on Friday evening, August 19th
- A team roster must have a minimum of 5 players and a maximum of 8 players

- Table Tennis
- Doubles Tables Tennis, 2 vs 2, on Friday evening August 19th or Saturday morning August 20th. Date to be finalized by coordinators

All members, male or female, are welcome to participate in any of the sports activities. An individual may participate in multiple sports activities if there is not a scheduling conflict.
