General Body Notice
The Annual General Body Meeting of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church will be held on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 in the church sanctuary after the Holy Communion Service presided by the President and Vicar, Rev. Jogy Oommen Philip.
The agenda is as follows:
- Presentation and Adoption of the Annual Report for 2018
- Presentation and Adoption of the ratified over-budgeted & non-budgeted items for 2018
- Presentation and Adoption of the Audited Accounts for 2018
- Presentation and Adoption of the Budget for 2019
- Resolution – Youth Chaplain
- Church Development Project – Master Plan
- AOB with prior permission of the chair
All General Body members are requested to be present.
Worship Services

Prayer Fellowship
- Prayer Group 4 will have a prayer meeting on April 14th, Sunday at 5:30 pm at the residence of Mr. Robin & Manju Chacko in Northville.

THE GREAT LENT
- The Great Lent worship “Sandhya Namaskaram” will be held Monday thru Thursday at 7 pm at the church.
Youth Group
- Bible Study will be held on April 13th, Saturday at 12:30 pm at the church.
- Our Youth Group will be doing a Community Service Event at Vista Maria on April 13th, Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm. Youth Group invites everyone from the church to attend this event. - ALABAMA NATIVE AMERICAN MISSION TRIP 2019 – The Alabama Native American Missions Trip will be held from June 15th to June 21st in Mt. Vernon, Alabama. Anyone who is 18 years and older may attend and if you are interested, more information can be found in the Youth Group Email. Registration Deadline is May 12th.
- DIOCESAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP CONFERENCE 2019 – The Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference 2019 will be held from July 25th to July 28th, 2019, hosted by the Youth Fellowship of the Mar Thoma Church of Dallas – Farmers Branch in Dallas. The theme is “Bloom Where You Are Planted” based on 1 Corinthians 3:6-9. Anyone who is 18 years and older may attend and if you are interested, more information can be found in the Youth Group Email. Registration Deadline is May 26th.

- Yuvajana Sakhyam monthly meeting and farewell meeting for Jogy Achen and Family will be held on April 13th, Saturday at 6:00 pm at the church.

Senior Fellowship
- Our Senior Fellowship is arranging a trip to Sight and Sound theaters in Ronks, Pennsylvania on August 8th, Thursday to see the JESUS Show. The trip cost is $150 per person. Make check to Detroit Marthoma Church and in the memo please write ”Jesus Show – 2019” and give it to SF treasurer Mr. C. V. Abraham.
Senior Fellowship National Conference
- Senior Fellowship 5th National Diocesan Conference will be held from September 25-28 at Ascension Mar Thoma Church, Philadelphia, PA. Those who are interested to attend please contact Mr. George Thomas ( Babu ) or Mr. P.M. George for registration forms and more details.
Showers of Blessing
- Mr. Stanley Samuel & Blessy Mathew were blessed with a baby girl: Gabriella Leah Samuel, on April 2nd, 2019. Both mother and baby are doing well by God’s grace. Congratulations to the family.
