General Body Notice
The Annual General Body Meeting of the Detroit Mar Thoma Church will be held on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 in the church sanctuary after the Holy Communion Service presided by the President and Vicar, Rev. Jogy Oommen Philip.
The agenda is as follows:
- Presentation and Adoption of the Annual Report for 2018
- Presentation and Adoption of the ratified over-budgeted & non-budgeted items for 2018
- Presentation and Adoption of the Audited Accounts for 2018
- Presentation and Adoption of the Budget for 2019
- Resolution – Youth Chaplain
- Church Development Project – Master Plan
- AOB with prior permission of the chair
All General Body members are requested to be present.
Annual Report Book
- The annual report book for 2018 will be distributed today in the fellowship hall. Please collect your copy from your respective prayer group leaders.

- Fasting prayer on Friday at 10:30 AM at the Church.
Prayer Fellowship
- Prayer Group 3 will have a prayer meeting on March 31st, Sunday at 5:30 pm at the residence of Mr. Jeji and Bahita Mathew in Troy.

THE GREAT LENT
- The Great Lent worship “Sandhya Namaskaram” will be held Monday thru Friday at 7 pm at the church.
Sunday School
- Sunday School Teacher’s Meeting will be held today after the worship service.
Sevika Sanghom
- A combined meeting of Sevika Sangham and Young Women’s will be held on April 6th, Saturday at 3:30 pm at the church. All ladies please stay back for a group picture immediately after the service
Youth Group
- Youth Group General Body Meeting will be held on March 31st, today IMMEDIATELY after the worship service at the church.
- Small Groups Weekend – April 5th, Friday to April 7th, Sunday. Small Group leaders will contact you about meeting details.
- Youth Group Farewell for Jogy Achen and Family will be held on April 6th, Saturday at 2 pm at the church.
- ALABAMA NATIVE AMERICAN MISSION TRIP 2019 – The Alabama Native American Missions Trip will be held from June 15th to June 21st in Mt. Vernon, Alabama. Anyone who is 18 years and older may attend and if you are interested, more information can be found in the Youth Group Email. Registration Deadline is May 12th.
- DIOCESAN YOUTH FELLOWSHIP CONFERENCE 2019 – The Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference 2019 will be held from July 25th to July 28th, 2019, hosted by the Youth Fellowship of the Mar Thoma Church of Dallas – Farmers Branch in Dallas. The theme is “Bloom Where You Are Planted” based on 1 Corinthians 3:6-9. Anyone who is 18 years and older may attend and if you are interested, more information can be found in the Youth Group Email. Registration Deadline is May 26th.
Yuvajana Sakhyam
- Yuvajana Sakhyam monthly meeting and farewell meeting for Jogy Achen and Family will be held on April 13th, Saturday at 6:00 pm at the church.
Senior Fellowship
- Our Senior Fellowship is arranging a trip to Sight and Sound theaters in Ronks, Pennsylvania on August 8th, Thursday to see the JESUS Show. The trip cost is $150 per person. Make check to Detroit Marthoma Church and in the memo please write ”Jesus Show – 2019” and give it to SF treasurer Mr. C. V. Abraham.

- Thanks to our Refreshment committee for arranging today’s refreshments – Donuts.
