- Detroit Mar Thoma church express our deepest condolence at the demise of Mrs. Sosamma Oommen (97 years old, Kulampurayidathil, Naranganam) grandmother of our vicar Rev. Jogy Oommen Philip on October 14th in Kerala. May the Almighty Lord strengthen the family with His peace that passeth all human understanding. Let’s all please stand for a moment of silent prayer.

Sevika Sangham
- Sevika Sangham meeting for today is cancelled and the meeting will be held on October 21st, Sunday after the service in the sanctuary.
Senior Fellowship
- Senior Fellowship meeting will be held on October 27th, Saturday at 4:00 PM at the Church.
A talk on Palliative Care and Hospice Care services by Dr. James Boal and Nurse Practitioner Donya Mayel will be held from 4.30 PM. All are welcome to attend this session.
Youth Group
- Friday Prayer on October 19th at 7 PM at the church
- Bible Study on October 20th, Saturday at 1:30 PM at the church
Sunday School
- Parents please note that Sunday School is taking part in an initiative called ‘Kids Helping Kids Project’ through the month of October. This is to help children seeking financial aid throughout the various mission fields. Every child is encouraged to contribute an offering of $1 for this and a collection box will be placed in the hall during Sunday School time or children can hand it over to their respective teachers in the class.
Yuvajana Sakhyam
- This year the Yuvajana Sakhyam has decided to sponsor a nursing student in Kerala and there will be a fundraising to support this cause. Request all our Parish members to support this initiative wholeheartedly..
Parish Convention
- DMTC Parish convention-2018 will be held from October 25th Thursday to October 28th Sunday. Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Episcopa will be the speaker on October 25th, Thursday and Diocesan Secretary Rev. Manoj Idiculla will be the speaker from October 26th to 28th. Convention will start at 7:00 PM on Thursday October 25th, Friday October 26th and 6:30 PM on Saturday October 27th. October 28th Sunday will be observed as the Family Sunday and Tithe Sunday. The theme for this year’s convention is Blessed to be a Blessing.
Prayer Groups & Organizations
All prayer groups and church organizations are requested to elect their representatives to the executive committee on or before November 17th.

Maintenance Update
Window decals inside the Madhubaha and the front window has replaced. Thanks to Mr. O. C. Koshy and Dr. Sara Koshy for sponsoring the cost and our maintenance committee for all the help.
