Sunday school students who would like to participate in any performances are requested to inform their Sunday School teachers or SS Anniversary Convenor Mr. K.K. George as soon as possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Sevika Sanghom<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Suvishesha Sevika Sanghom Mid-West Region<\/strong> is hosting a <strong>one day retreat<\/strong> on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm at Detroit Mar Thoma Church. Theme: Women \u2013 Witnesses of the Gospel &#8211; St. Luke 8: 1-3 and Rev. Jaisen A. Thomas, Vicar of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church, Lombard, Chicago will be the main speaker. Please uphold this retreat in your prayers and encouraging all Sevika Sanghom members to attend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">First Fruit Auction<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>We will be celebrating the harvest season with our annual First Fruit Auction on Sunday September 1<sup>st<\/sup> immediately after the worship service. \u00a0The auction features a diverse selection of exceptional items, ranging from exclusive artworks including limited edition paintings, unique creations and handcrafted items from our talented parish members. Gourmet treats and nostalgic dishes prepared by our culinary experts including Kappa with ellu curry, kappa with fish curry, beef fry, prawns roast, Thalassery beef biryani pothichoru, , chilli chicken, cutlets, and a variety of freshly made Indian snacks, cookies, cakes and desserts.\n<p>The auction will also offer homegrown organic vegetables, farm-fresh products, and exotic plants and unique items that are sure to intrigue and delight.<\/p>\n<p>The coordinators are requesting parish members to contribute more items for the auction as well. \u00a0Items may include or similar to what has been mentioned above. Please avoid any clothing items.<\/p>\n<p>The funds raised from the auction will primarily support the ongoing and operating expenses of the church and a portion of the funds are allocated for charity causes both locally and in India. All members are requested to wholeheartedly participate in the auction prayerfully and generously. For more information please contact the coordinators Mrs. Annie Varghese and Mrs. Sheena Mathews<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Cultural Festival &#8211; St. John&#8217;s MTC (Invitation)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>St. John&#8217;s Mar Thoma Church is inviting our parish to their annual Cultural Fest held on Saturday August 24<sup>th<\/sup> beginning at 1:00 PM at St. John\u2019s MTC with Food Stall and Carnival Games. The Cultural Programs will begin at 5:30 PM. Inviting all \u00a0families to join us for delicious food, games, and an entertaining cultural program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Yuvajana Sakhyam<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The 22nd Diocesan Yuvajana Sakhyam Conference<\/strong> will be hosted by The Mar Thoma Church of Dallas Farmers Branch Yuvajana Sakhyam. The conference will take place from September 26th to 29th, 2024, at The Mar Thoma Church of Dallas Farmers Branch. More information about the conference, including registration details, can be found on the conference website: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ysconf2024.org\">https:\/\/www.ysconf2024.org<\/a>. Encouraging all Sakha members and senior yuvajana sakhyam friends to register for the conference at the earliest. Registration deadline is August 31, 2024. All families are requested to contribute this amount and also encouraged to give more considering the increased cost of items.
