They will be going over youth group activities planned for this year and answering any questions regarding the youth group. Requesting all parents of youths to join.<\/li>\n<li>There will be a <strong>youth activity<\/strong> this weekend, further details to be provided in the youth group email announcements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">2023 Diocesan Family Retreat<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Diocese of NAE is arranging a Family Retreat<\/strong> from October 6th\u20138th, 2023. The theme for the retreat will be: \u201cAbundant Life: Rediscovering God\u2019s Purpose\u201d and will take place at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center in Atlanta, Georgia (6015 Old Stone Mountain Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087). Distinguished speakers including Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Diocesan Bishop, Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo (Columbia Theological Seminary), Rev. Dr. Pramod Zachariah, Mrs. Susan Thomas, Dr. Cini Abraham, and Mrs. Roshin Abraham (Kochamma) will provide leadership throughout the retreat. The registration fee for the retreat will be $50.00 per person. Rev. Ajith K. Thomas, Vicar of STMTC (Lombard, IL) will be the main speaker. Transportation arrangements from Detroit to Chicago are being arranged for the regional meeting, if interested please contact Mrs. Reena Philip or Mrs. Manju Chacko as soon as possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Edavaka Mission<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charities<\/strong> &#8211; Edavaka Mission is supporting multiple charity causes and is requesting financial support from members. The following are the charity causes:\n<ul>\n<li>Udumalpet Mission: School and Food Kits<\/li>\n<li>Punalur Boys Home<\/li>\n<li>Medical treatment for wife of Evg. P. Ratheesh (Habel) who is working in Narasapuram Mission Field in Andra Pradesh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Details of each charity request are posted in the notice board. All contributions should be made to the Detroit Mar Thoma Church with details of the desired charity. Thank you in advance for your support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Showers of Blessings<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Mr. &amp; Mrs. Adarsh and Maria (Ria) Abraham were blessed with a baby boy Adam Paul Abraham on Monday September 18<sup>th<\/sup>, 2023. The family would like to specially thank all parish members for their sincere prayers during the pregnancy. Thankfully baby and mother are doing well. Baby Adam is still in the NICU and the family requests for everyone\u2019s \u00a0continuous prayers so that Baby Adam may be able to come home soon.
