The conference will be led by Rev. Dennis Abraham. There will be two session based on age group:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>3<sup>rd<\/sup> &#8211; 7<sup>th <\/sup>Grade:<\/strong> 11:00 AM \u2013 1:00 PM EST<\/li>\n<li><strong>8<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 12<sup>th<\/sup> Grade:<\/strong> 2:00 PM \u2013 4:30 PM EST<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All Sunday school students are requested to participate. The theme for the retreat will be: \u201cAbundant Life: Rediscovering God\u2019s Purpose\u201d and will take place at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center in Atlanta, Georgia (6015 Old Stone Mountain Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087). Distinguished speakers including Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Diocesan Bishop, Rev. Dr. Victor Aloyo (Columbia Theological Seminary), Rev. Dr. Pramod Zachariah, Mrs. Susan Thomas, Dr. Cini Abraham, and Mrs. Roshin Abraham (Kochamma) will provide leadership throughout the retreat. The registration fee for the retreat will be $50.00 per person. They will be going over youth group activities planned for this year and answering any questions regarding the youth group. Requesting all parents of youths to join.<\/li>\n<li>Youth group is continuing their raffle ticket fundraiser in the fellowship hall today to raise funds for the 2023 Midwest Regional Youth Conference in December. Prizes include 2 large prize baskets and 1 free attendance to regionals this year. Raffle drawing will be held on Saturday, September 23<sup>rd<\/sup>. For additional information please see any youth committee member, requesting your prayers and generous support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Yuvajana Sakhyam<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mid-West Regional Yuvajana Sakhyam Conference and Kalamela-2023<\/strong> will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church in Chicago, IL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Encouraging and requesting all Yuvajana Sakhyam members and families to participate in the regional conference and regional level Kalamela<\/p>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Sevika Sanghom<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sevika Sanghom regional meeting<\/strong> will be held on Saturday September 30<sup>th<\/sup> at Chicago Mar Thoma Church from 9:30 am \u2013 3:30 pm CST. Rev. Ajith K. Thomas, Vicar of STMTC (Lombard, IL) will be the main speaker. Transportation arrangements from Detroit to Chicago are being arranged for the regional meeting, if interested please contact Mrs. Reena Philip or Mrs. Manju Chacko as soon as possible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Edavaka Mission<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Charities<\/strong> &#8211; Edavaka Mission is supporting multiple charity causes and is requesting financial support from members. The following are the charity causes:\n<ul>\n<li>Udumalpet Mission: School and Food Kits<\/li>\n<li>Punalur Boys Home<\/li>\n<li>Medical treatment for wife of Evg. P. Ratheesh (Habel) who is working in Narasapuram Mission Field in Andra Pradesh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Details of each charity request are posted in the notice board. All contributions should be made to the Detroit Mar Thoma Church with details of the desired charity.
