Travel arrangements have been made. Achen and family will be arriving in Detroit this Friday, May 12<sup>th<\/sup> at midnight. All members are welcome to come to the airport to receive Achen and family, flight information below:<strong>American Airlines Flight# QR 2383 (Please check arrival time beforehand)<\/strong>\n<p>If planning to join, please inform the Secretary as soon as possible. God willing Achen will conduct the Holy Communion Service next Sunday, May 14<sup>th<\/sup>, and we will have a short welcome program after the worship service.<\/p>\n<p>Let us continue to keep Santhosh Achen &amp; family in our prayers as they prepare for their travel and transfer.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Names: Rev. Registration will start today after service in the hall and is also available online. Registration fee is $10 per child and maximum of $30 for family. Those who are interested in teaching\/volunteering are also requested to sign up at the registration table in the hall or online. This year\u2019s theme is unplug and recharge based on Matthew 11:28 \u201ccome to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.\u201d YG weekend will begin on Friday, May 26<sup>th<\/sup>, with Friday Night Sing at 6pm at the church. Further details regarding YG weekend will be provided later.<\/li>\n<li>The Chicago Mar Thoma Church Youth Group will be hosting the <strong>5th Annual Midwest Sports Tournament<\/strong> starting on Friday, June 9th and concluding on Saturday, June 10<sup>th<\/sup>. Tournament will take place at the Centre of Elgin located at 100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL 60120. Woman\u2019s Volleyball Tournament will start on Friday and end on Saturday and Men&#8217;s Basketball Tournament will start and end on Saturday.<strong>Sports Tournament Team Details:<\/strong>\n<p><strong>1) Men&#8217;s Basketball <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>$200\/team<\/p>\n<p>10 players\/team<\/p>\n<p><strong>2) Women&#8217;s Volleyball<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>$150\/team<\/p>\n<p>10 players\/team<\/p>\n<p>Registration links will be provided in the youth group e-mail announcements. Registration Deadline for the tournament is May 28. All tournament participants and attendees are also welcome to participate in the Holy Communion Service on Sunday, June 11th at the Chicago Mar Thoma Church<\/li>\n<li>This year\u2019s <strong>Urban Missions Trip<\/strong> will be held in Chicago, IL, from July 17-20, 2023.\u00a0 The trip is open to all Mar Thoma members over the age of 18. Registration for this trip will be $250 per person, however the Diocese will give grants to individuals to make this trip affordable.Registration links will be provided in the youth group e-mail announcements. Registration deadline will be May 15, 2023.
