George &amp; family. All members are kindly requested to attend<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Diocesan Reception of Metropolitan<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Diocese of North America &amp; Europe<\/strong> is arranging a Public Reception to felicitate the Most Rev. Dr. Theodosius Mar Thoma Metropolitan on Sunday, October 9th, 2022 at 4:30 PM at the Long Island Mar Thoma Church (Merrick, New York). Live-streaming of this public meeting will be made available. This is a time to ask questions that you might have. If anyone needs a ride afterwards, please ask any youth committee member or older youth and accommodations will be made.<\/li>\n<li>Next Saturday, October 8th, <strong>Bible Study<\/strong> at church at 1:30 pm. Requesting all teachers to attend this meeting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DMTC Sunday School<\/strong> is hosting the <strong>Midwest Regional Sunday School Fall Teachers&#8217; Retreat<\/strong> virtually on Saturday, October 8th from 10 am &#8211; 12 pm (EST). Our main speaker is Dr. Leela Cherian. Theme for the retreat is: &#8220;Exploring intergenerational issues among the Mar Thoma Diaspora &#8220;. Both Flu shot and Covid Booster shot will be available. A google sign up sheet will be included in the weekly announcements, all those interested are requested to sign up. May the Holy Spirit continue to teach and guide them as they continue in their faith journey. As a Parish let us continue to pray for these young believers and support them to uphold the oath that they have made before our Lord today. Let\u2019s give them a round of applause.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Note on PayPal Contributions<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>On July 29<sup>th<\/sup>, 2022, PayPal updated its policies and now charges a fee for contributions to the church PayPal account submitted from a personal PayPal account. Members may still contribute through PayPal without being charged a fee using the PayPal Giving Fund of Detroit Mar Thoma Church. Contributions through Venmo are not affected currently.
