Oommen (101), grandfather of our former Vicar Rev. Jogy Oommen Philip in Naranganam, Kerala on Sunday May 1st. Varghese Thomas. All General Body members are requested to attend this meeting.The agenda is as follows:<br \/>\n1. All Sevika Sangham members are requested to attend<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Yuvajana Sakhyam<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>Yuvajana Sakhyam is hosting a <strong>Family Retreat<\/strong> on <strong>Saturday May 14<sup>th<\/sup> from 9:30am to 1:30pm<\/strong> at the church.Theme for the retreat is: <strong>&#8220;Faith &amp; Life in Challenging Situations&#8221;<\/strong>. Mrs. Shijy Alex, member of Chicago Mar Thoma Church will be the main speaker. The theme of the conference is based on Luke 10:5<strong> \u201cPeace builders in the Kingdom of God\u201d<\/strong> and will be lead by Rt. Rev. Dr. Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa, and our own prominent clergy and lay leaders. Please visit the conference website for further details, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtveaconference2022.org\/\">https:\/\/www.mtveaconference2022.org\/.\u00a0<\/a> Encouraging all parishioners to register and to keep the conference in your prayers.<\/li>\n<li>Edavaka Mission is collecting donations to sponsor students from the Kompady Mar Thoma Episcopal Jubilee Institute. The institute trains evangelists to serve the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association, dioceses and many other organizations of the church. The institute has 20 students currently who are primarily from economically backward families. Rs. 50,000, approximately $654, is needed to sponsor a student per year. Our Edavaka Mission is planning to sponsor 1 or more students and is kindly requesting your prayers and generous support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><span style=\"background-color: #eae7e7;\">Youth Group<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<ul>\n<li>May 7<sup>th<\/sup> is <strong>small group weekend<\/strong>, small group leaders will notify of meetings and location. All small group members are requested to attend<\/li>\n<li>Youth Group is continuing the <strong>clothing drive<\/strong> in partnership with National Honors Society. Requesting all youths and church members to bring any unwanted clothes for donation. Collection will continue through Sunday, May 22<sup>nd<\/sup>. For any questions, please contact Christina Cherian or Benjamin Mathews.<\/li>\n<li>Youth group is planning to arrange a <strong>blood drive with the Red Cross<\/strong>. To finalize a date a minimum commitment of 45 potential donors is required.
