General Body Notice

  • The General body meeting of the Detroit Mar Thoma church will be held on January 19th, Sunday in the church sanctuary after the Holy Communion Service presided by the President and Vicar, Rev. Varghese Thomas. All General Body members are requested to attend this meeting.

    The agenda is as follows:
    1. Election of the Sabha Mandalam Member for 2020-2023
    2. Election of the Diocesan Assembly Members(2) for 2020-2023

Worship Services

  • Next Sunday: January 19th
    • Holy Qurbana service in Malayalam at 10:15 am
    • Sunday School at 9 AM
    • Adult Bible Study at 9:30 AM

Weekly Prayers

  • Intercessory prayer on Wednesday at 6:30 pm at the Church
  • Fasting prayer on Friday at 10:30 am at the Church.

Sunday School

  • Children who are planning to take the First Holy Communion in March, 2020 will be having their preparatory class with Achen on January 17th, Friday 6 pm to 8 pm at the church.

Sevika Sanghom

  • Monthly meeting will be held on January 12th, Sunday after the worship service.

Edavaka Mission

  • Edavaka Mission monthly meeting will be held on January 18th, Saturday at 5:30 pm at the Church.

Senior Fellowship

  • Senior Fellowship Annual General Body meeting will be held on January 25th, Saturday 3:00 pm at the Church. The annual report and audited accounts for the year 2019 will be presented in this meeting.

Youth Fellowship

  • Youth Fellowship General Body meeting will be held on January 19th, Sunday after the service. Election for 2020 will be held in this meeting
  • Youth Fellowship Registration List for 2020
    As we begin the new year, our Youth Fellowship is providing an updated list of Youth Fellowship Members for the year 2020 to the Diocese. All members must be registered through the Youth Fellowship in order to hold any parish, regional, or diocese level positions and/or attend the Diocesan level conferences – Diocesan Youth Fellowship Conference and Diocesan Leadership Conference. If you would like to include your name in the list that was sent in the Youth Group Email or the information provided is incorrect, please contact the Youth Fellowship Secretary Tenny Samuel by tonight (January 12th at 11:59 PM).

Global Mar Thoma Meet and the 33rd Diocesan Family Conference

  • The Global Mar Thoma Meet and the 33rd Diocesan Family Conference of the Diocese of North America and Europe is scheduled to be held from July 2nd – 5th, 2020 at the Carmel Mar Thoma Center, Atlanta. The Theme of the Conference is “Living in Christ, Leaping in Faith” based on John 15:7. The registration fee will be $ 100 USD and the conference fee will be $100 USD per person till March 31, 2020 and from April 1, 2020 an additional $25.00 USD will be added for each person.

Annual Report – 2019

  • All parish organizations are requested to finalize and complete a brief summary of activities and submit the report by January 18th, Saturday to the Parish secretary.

DMTC Project

  • Those who haven’t pledged your contribution yet, please give that to the vicar or trustees as soon as possible. If you are interested to give personal loans, please contact project convener Mr. Vinod Thomas. Please keep our expansion project in your prayers.
