Condolences

  • Detroit Mar Thoma Church expresses our deepest condolence at the sad demise of our member Mr. George M. Samuel (71, Mazhavencheril House, Poovanmala, Ranny) on Saturday, October 19th, 2019. The viewing/ Visitation Service will be held on October 23rd, Wednesday 5pm to 9pm and Funeral Service on October 24th, Thursday at 9am at the Detroit Mar Thoma Church. May the Almighty Lord strengthen and comfort the family with peace that passeth all human understanding. Let’s all please stand for a moment of silence and prayer.

Weekly Prayers

Prayer Fellowship

  • Prayer Group 2:  will have a prayer meeting today, October 20th at 6:00 PM at the residence of Rev. Varghese Thomas & Shyny Varghese in Farmington Hills.  Address: 23949 Susan Dr, Farmington Hills.
  • Prayer Group 4:  will have a prayer meeting on November 3rd, Sunday at 5 PM at the residence of Mr. Varughese and Gracy Abraham in Plymouth. Prayer group leader for 2020 will be elected at this meeting.

Election of Representatives

  • All prayer groups and church organizations are requested to elect their representatives to the executive committee on or before November 24th.

Youth Group &  Yuvajana Sakhyam

  • Youth Group & Yuvajana Sakhyam combined meeting will be on October 26th, Saturday 10 am – 1 pm at the Church with Rev. Aby M. Thomas Tharakan.

     

Youth Group

  • Youth Group community service event Zoo Boo Will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Sevika Sanghom

  • Mid-west Regional conference: Sevika Sanghom Mid-west Regional one day conference will be held on November 2nd, Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm hosted by DMTC Sevika Sanghom. Main speaker for this conference is Rev. Suneeth Mathew, Vicar of St. Thomas MTC, Lombard, Chicago. Theme is “Women: Equal participation in the ministry of the Kingdom of God”. If you are interested to attend this one day conference, please register your name and make donations for the smooth running of this conference.

Parish Convention & Christian Family Dedication Sunday

  • DMTC Parish convention-2019 will be held from October 24th Thursday to October 26th Saturday. Rev. Aby M. Thomas Tharakan will be the convention speaker. Convention will start at 7:00 PM on Thursday October 24th, Friday October 26th and 6:30 PM on Saturday October 26th. October 27th Sunday will be observed as the Christian Family Dedication Sunday and Tithe Sunday

Ecumenical Choir 

  • Those who are interested to join Ecumenical choir for Christmas are requested to give the names to ecumenical representative from our church on or before October 31, 2019.

  • Thanks to Mr. Sony and Reni Abraham for sponsoring today’s refreshments – Appam and Chicken Curry.
